The first year I had my 3.5 year-old daughter enrolled, this was our experience. 1.) The regular instructor, Amy, missed 40% of the classes. The fill-in instructor did not know or make any effort to learn the kids dance so they could stay current with the choreography and put on a good show. It would have taken 10 minutes to learn the dance, all us moms knew it better than the subs. 2.) The studio was not forthcoming with costs. We were told the costume for the end-of-year show would be $65, but then when we had already paid close to $85 we were told that "the original price didnt include matching tights." After that they took our daughters ballet shoes and spray-painted them red to match the costume. The $30 pair of shoes are now also garbage. 3.) The viewing window for session is TINY, and they constantly tape "NOTICES" to them, so you only get about 1 square foot of window for four+ moms to share. Not once was I ever "In person" spoken to about where to be and when. I was merely left to figure it out myself via their obnoxious paper notices. I also was NEVER approached by Amy to talk about my daughters performance or potential. 4.) My husband also tried to call for two weeks to confirm the time and place of the show my daughter was to be in in a large college campus. The show came and my husband took my daughter in her $120 costume to Rowan, where he drove around for a half hour trying to find the location, because there were no signs. He said that her name was completely left off the program. In spite of all this, we stayed in the studio for a second year and the following year has been better thus far. The new teacher is much better than Amy was and always present and smiling. We are often invited into the area to watch the kids practice their dance, so the viewing window with taped notices is less of an issue. So far this year is much better, but Id still appreciate more communication from the staff regarding upcoming events.

As Alumni of the Chez Dance Company, I can proudly say Chez Dance Studio is an excellent place for your daughter or son to fulfill their love and passion of dance. After attending another local dance studio, I am so glad I made the decision to come to Chez. Chez has the best overall atmosphere. The well maintained facilities include 3 dance studios, 2 dressing rooms, restrooms, an office, snack bar and even a boutique; however Chez is undergoing a renovation for the addition of another studio and dressing room. Here, your daughter or son can learn a variety of dance styles from one of the many instructors. At Chez, the instructors and staff are extremely friendly. The instructors maintain the professional level of teaching while still having fun in class. In my personal experience, I have developed relationships with all the instructors. I look to them as role models and a source of inspiration to continue to dance. I have also developed friendships with my fellow company members. Spending years together dancing, we have become more like sisters than just friends. Overall, Chez is just and amazing dance studio and I encourage all parents to enroll your daughter or son in class now!

I wish I could give Chez Dance Studio more then 5 stars because thats honestly what they deserve. My sister and I grew up dancing at Chez, my mom has been a dance teacher there for over 25 years, and my grandmom began dancing there when Roseann started this company in her basement. The lessons you learn at Chez extend way beyond ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz or hip-hop. Being a dancer at Chez instills life lessons such as organization, time management, and that practice does make perfect. Chez Dance redefines hard work & determination and turns their students passion for dance into the world class professionals. Nowadays it is so hard to find a good group of people, a place you want and are proud to be apart of. For me Chez Dance Studio was and still is home. Not just because my family was apart of it but because all of my best friends, to this day, are from Chez Dance. If you send your child to this studio or if you want to start taking classes there dont hesitate. It will be the best decision you make!!

Chez Dance Studio has been such a wonderful experience. My daughter is little and just completed her second year at chez. She loves to express herself in the classroom and that also shines now outside of the classroom. At the end of the year I was super impressed at their show. They were professional, entertaining, and time efficient. The ideas and creativity blew me away. Im happy to have my daughter be a part of something so special and we will continue to grow at CDS. Thank you teachers and staff. - Diane

i had a pretty bad experience at chez. Over the past 11 years I have danced at chez they decided to not move me up to the age group I deserved to be in. They expected my whole life to revolve around dance and one of the instructors got mad at me for missing dance for my eighth grade dance. They picked another student over me and I wish it couldve worked out but I am on to bigger and better things. Chez will always mean home and I dont want any bad blood. Overall Chez was an okay experience. Xoxo- R

Chez is by far the most professional and creative enviorment I have worked in. The students are so talented and wonderful! My fellow staff is inspiring and truly wants to see each student have a good time while growing as performers and individuals. The strong family vibe at Chez is what keeps students around for generations. Its a wonderful place, I am beyond proud to say I get to work at Chez Dance! Xoxoxo Ms.Jess
