This was my first time at Velvet Roses Beauty Salon (and my first time dyeing my hair) so you could imagine my concern with changing me look at a new spot; but I left the salon IN LOVE with the final end product. Cici (Cynthia) was my hair stylist and she did a phenomenal job; she gave me her professional opinion and I instantly trusted her judgement. Id like to make the point that I would trust any of the hairstylist there. They make you feel comfortable with their friendly and light environment. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone and everyone. I did think it was a little pricey, but it was honestly worth every penny.

I just came from my 1st haircut with Maribel, of Velvet Roses. The girl is TALENTED. After literally months of different haircuts at different salons in Wmsbrg & NYC where Id describe what I wanted and leave with essentially the SAME OLD CUT, I hit the jackpot. Her secret? She LISTENS. She took into account that I know my hair better than anyone & listened to my input, gave me her suggestions, and showed me the affect she was getting each step, so we could tweak it together as we went along. My hair is now EXACTLY what I wanted! Best of all, the prices are excellent. She has a customer for life.

The stylists at Velvet Roses know what they are doing, especially if you have curly hair. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is down-to-earth. Wouldnt get my hair cut at any other place!
