Many of my friends and family have had experiences with this place and they have all been bad. First my cousin and I applied in the Buffalo office on the same day at the same time. We should have known then what we were in for. The waiting area is small and cold and smells bad and is really, really ghetto. You have to take a personality test and then fill out an application and it takes such a long time and you have to keep going up to this window to get the next part. Then they make you wait. When you finally go in they bring you in one big room instead of interviewing you privately and professionally. Once all of that is over they give you a card and tell you to call them everyday if you want to get a job. My cousin and I got a bad feeling but we really needed work so we did what they said. I got job after about 2 weeks of calling. (More on that later) 1 year later and she never did. We have the same work history, background, no jail, same education. The only thing we can think of is that she didnt pass the personality test. We have already talked to a lawyer and if this is the reason, it is illegal and she will be taking action. So. I went ahead and worked. They knew I was looking for clerical work but they went ahead and sent me to sorrento cheese anyway, promising it wouldnt be that bad and I would only have to do it until an office job became available soon and that it was steady work. All lies. I was treated like absolute garbage by the racist jerks there. They called me names and then made me leave early and told me never to come back. I left many messages for the manager at Durham but she would never talk to me. I never called them again. But I have other family members and friends who have had bad experiences. Durham will not let you pick up your paycheck and then they mail them late or not at all and make you wait 2-3 weeks for a new one. They will fire you based on what the racist people at the job sites say and never listen to your story. They will talk bad about you when potential employers call for a reference. They are all around bad people. And dont try to talk to a manager or anyone above them because you will get the runaround. I would not recommend Durham staffing to anyone, anywhere. Hopefully they are getting investigated for all the fraud and dishonesty.

I was having trouble finding a job so I went to Durham staffing in downtown buffalo the lady who interview me was April and she gave me her card and told me to start calling in everyday which Ive been doing since the end of July I called it was on a Wednesday and I was directly connected to April she seemed excited like she found me a job but then she said it might interfere with my ged classes and she didnt come out and say it but she acted like I should give up my classes which I refused to do because Ive invested a lot of time into them, then the following week I got a phonecall from Durham from some lady who thought she found me another job then she said never mind its for someone who has to lift over a 100 pounds then she proceeded to hangup on me. And it seems like every time I call the temp agency lately someone rude answers the phone the one time I called and some lady answered and she was laughing and giggling instead of being professional and after she was done laughing she tried playing it off like Durham staffing. Then there was another time I called and the lady asked my name 5 times and asked me to spell it out letter by letter and then she asked for my phone number twice and was totally distracted I dont believe she even marked it down that I called that day because she was just fooling around and didnt seem to take anything seriously. Then today I just called and someone answered and immediately hungup on me so I called back and some guy named James answered the phone and asked for my social which was a little shady to me because theyve never asked me for it over the phone before then he asked what shift I can work and I said I can work anydays except Mondays and Thursdays and he got very rude with me, I tried calling back 15 minutes later to talk to someone else and try to make a complaint about him, but he answered the phone again so I hungup I guess on Monday I will try calling one last time and if I still get an attitude Im going to a different agency!

It was all good except for the fact that I was unprofessionally let go through a text, first I was not to go in on Friday for no reason and all of a sudden told my assignment was over on a non work day SUNDAY through text not even an attempt call at 6 am!!!! Yeah screw them and all the unprofessionalism, especially the fact that she allows her kid to work places and not show up and then send them to another job. FAVORITISM!!! oh how about the fact that my poor coworker was underpaid and pretty much forced to work on her days off and not get paid for it. I enjoyed my time as office assistant but Ive seen too much wrong doing!!!

This place sucks and I do not recommend anyone to go there. The staff is full of crap, they tell so many lies and have a bad attitude. I applied in 2010 they found me a nfta job, went for the drug test and the lady mess my hair up from taking samples. Long story short never got the job because they gave it to someone else. Kept calling every morning and they sent me back in to refill the same form out in 2012 and they gave me nothing but trouble, especially ASHLEY!!! PLease dont waste your time with this employment agency they will waste your time and are very racist!!!!

I was pleased with my experience at Durham. The lady Leta Jones was very personable and got me a job the next day. I had a recent incarceration and she was very understanding and encouraging and saw that I got a job right away. Also, she didnt judge me for my past, which other temp agencies in the area did. Instead she congratulated me on what Im doing in trying to move forward and really helped me all around.

I agree with everyone who gave this agency a bad rating. I went to them on Feb 2015 calling every morning, they never called not even for one job. Its march 2016 and still nothing I just applied at Remedy agency hopefully they find me something. Because Durham has not even helped at all I truly do Not recommend this agency.

This place is a joke. They told me I had a job and to show up on Monday. But when I get home they left a message on my VMAIL saying the job was gone, and then they had the nerve to tell me to CALL THEM TO CONFIRM that I knew I no longer had a job, lol! Unreal. Go elsewhere.

Im currently working for them on an assignment and have not been paid yet they keep telling me to wait until this and that day before they cancel a check its going on two weeks now.dont work for them they wont pay you!!!
