I brought my 1984 Mustang to Atlantic Auto Body for restoration and paint June 5th 2017. After giving them a $1500 deposit I was told my car would be finished in about 4 weeks, right around the Fourth of July I was promised. The car sat for 2 months virtually untouched. All they did was pull off the bumper cover, wheel well liners and body side molding. All in all about one hour worth of work. Shop manager Pete kept promising work would begin "next week" yet every week was another excuse for not starting the work. After 2 months of frustration and constant lies from the owner and his shop manager about when the car body work would begin I finally had enough and pulled the car outta there and towed to another shop. I informed the secretary to inform owner Chris, whom was not taking my calls nor conversing with me face to face, that I was taking my car out of their shop by the end of the work day. When I didnt get a call back from Chris I ran over to the shop and found a crew of his laborers all over my car pulling off tail lights, antennae, door handles, etc, in an attempt to anchor the car in his shop and run up a tab. I told him its too late to get into this and a tow truck is on the way at which point he became belligerent and cursed me out telling me to get my "effin car" of his "effin property". Nice way to respond to a situation he caused right? And even better customer relation skills (sarcasm). It gets worse. He refused to refund to me my $1500 deposit stating work was done equaling the $1500 deposit and he is now charging me additional money for storage fees for 2 months of time my car sat in his lot. Bear in mind that I didnt ask him to store my car. He did that by not working on it. Avoid this place. They are not professional. I currently have complaints pending with the BBB, NYS DMV, Nassau County dept. of Consumer Affairs and a case in small claims court. By comparison, the shop I took my car to has worked on it every single day it has been in their shop and will soon be finished ahead of schedule.

I want to let everyone know about Atlantic Auto Body and Collision of Freeport on Long Island. I can thankfully say I found a great place to have car work done. Atlantic walked me through what I needed explaining everything and also were HONEST about the cost as well as the repairs that needed to be done. NO HIDDEN AGENDA here with Chris the owner and his team. They truly care about the work that they do. I have to say in fact,that have had horrible experiences in the past! That being said,lets just say I was overpriced several times. I wanted to share of little past nightmares I had with you all. I recall one shop not worth mentioning had me waiting for days with the simplest repair and were rude and disrespectful. A few months later another shop in Nassau quoted me work to be done and the next day had me come back in only to charge over 500.00 dollars more then the original cost the day before. I must admit my fault again, I trusted them,only to find out later I was RIPPED OFF again!!! So FINALLY good friend of mine had contacted me and suggested Atlantic Auto Body and Collision of Freeport. He had just had an accident and it was suggested through his insurance company to contact Chris and his crew at Atlantic Auto Body and Collision of Freeport. He did so and they were hands going through his whole vehicle thoroughly putting him at ease, he couldnt be happier with the services that they provide at the shop. I want to thank my friend Pete for suggesting them to me and I will never go anywhere else.I have to say that there integrity and professionalism cant be beat. I hope that others will visit and use them for there repairs and body work. Its important to let you all know, especially since I know first hand. I really like that I can put the word out on Google and hope you will make there shop your choice Check them out for yourselves you wont disappointed .. The staff of Atlantic Auto Body did a great job! I dropped of my new Dodge Dart with a couple of dents on one of the doors. When I picked it up it looked the same as the day I drove away from the dealership. Good as new! They even detailed the inside! A couple of other places had told me that it would be hard to match the red color on my car but with the expertise of the staff of Atlantic Auto Body you cant even tell anything ever happened to my car.I could not be happier with the work done by Atlantic Auto Body.

Great service and people...I took my car here for rear-end damage, the shop returned the car in 2 days, detailed inside and out, they even fixed a few things that had been broken for years (minor stuff but it certainly was going the extra mile). Everything from when I dropped off and picked up was similar to the treatment one would expect from a dealership...highly recommended

People here are really nice. Didnt give 5 stars because they gave me my car back dusty and dirty. They also gave me back my car with sensor lights on because of something they damaged while fixing it but they did repair the part with no charge to me and no questions asked.
