The guy rocks - he is there 7 days a week, always picks up the phone, kindest and most gracious store owner downtown....and I would actually add, one of the hardest working. Hes open 7 days a week with normal hours! I dropped off 8 articles to be dry cleaned on a Sunday night at 5pm...he told me he would deliver to me, and because I was a new customer, he refused to take payment until I had checked every article to ensure it was to my satisfaction...he then said I could call with payment later. I actually couldnt wait to call him with payment, lol...who trusts people like that nowadays?? Sad, but true. Love that he is an honest person with high integrity. Everything was great - I will definitely be going back. The guy doesnt have 5 star ratings from everyone for nothing....

Lumi is the absolute nicest guy! I had so many pieces of clothing I needed fixed that he became almost like my "NYC Grandfather." I have had several dresses and pants, and purses dry cleaned and tailored. He does fabulous work. Impeccable! He is a people pleaser and always wants to help everyone, especially if it is a fashion emergency for a big event. In particular he did an AMAZING job on one of my dresses. I accidentally burned it with an iron and part of the fabric on the direct front melted a hole through the dress. He took the entire dress apart and adjusted the material so that the melted part was no longer showing and put the whole dress back together again. I though my dress was ruined and I had just gotten it. He saved the day!

I got caught in a rainstorm and my suit jacket got soaked on the day that I was to attend a fancy gala event. Not wanting to show up with a wrinkled jacket I found Alba Dry Cleaners through an online search. I called and was told that they could press my jacket quickly for a modest price. As the result of miscommunication (largely my fault) the jacket was not ready when I came to pick it up. I was panicked. The proprietor managed to find me a loaner jacket to match my pants.....when I returned to the store a few days later to exchange the loaner for my suit jacket - - they had my jacket cleaned and pressed...and the proprietor refused to accept any payment. I was surprised...such honorable people are hard to find these days.

This is deserves more than 5 stars. I went into work in the area and found a rip on the back along the seam of my suit jacket, I called and he told me to come in, not to waste time on the phone! They took my jacket with no words exchange and came back out and said itll take 10 minutes. Within less than 10 minutes, my jacket was fixed. The best part is when I asked how much do I owe him, he jokingly said $1 and I said "no seriously", he gave me a sarcastic look and said "nothing, go"...after a few back and forths he finally said "stop wasting my time, go" in a joking manner....this place and man is a blessing from God, definitely coming back to tailor all my suits from now on!

Alba Dry Cleaners is THE BEST dry cleaners in NYC and I will tell you why ... its because the store owner is the hardest working guy I have ever met and the kindest, which is important in business. Not only is he virtually open every single hour of the week for his clients that work very late hours but he even accomates you if you miss his business hours. He cares about the quality and the consistency of his service and it shows in the results of his output. I highly recommend you to give him a shot as he has the right price, the best attitude and the highest quality of service there is.

My grandmother died a few weeks ago and I asked my sister to mail her vintage Ralph Lauren blazer to me. My sister put a jar of homemade jam in the box and it exploded all over the jacket. I walked into Albas hysterical, he sat me down and assured me my jacket would be perfect when he got done. He estimated it would cost approximately $30-$35 (it was covered in jelly). I came back today and the jacket is stunning. He cleaned the jacket for free. He said he realized how important family is that his family was important to him as well. I HIGHLY recommend his services to anyone in Manhattan.

This is the best dry cleaner in New York City, and maybe the entire country. They truly care about the quality of their service, and everything always comes out PERFECT and on time. Ask for same-day service, the answer is always no problem. The tailoring is incredible, I brought my suit here to have it taken in a bit, and their work was way better then the original tailoring. The shop is immaculately clean and organized. Best part is they are open amazing hours from 7am to 9pm, and always offer you an espresso on dropping off or picking up. Could not be better.

Wow, what can I say. Alba cleaners, especially Lumi and Kiko do all my tailoring. I am very picky and do not trust anyone with my clothes. They do an Outstanding job, professional. I am of Short stature :( so most of my jeans and suits I have to tailor. Since the first tailoring job they preformed for me, to my latest one, I have been impressed with their work. I will continue to bring my clothes to Alba Cleaners. Thank you for all of your help and continue work you will preform for me.

Alba is the best for tailoring, dry cleaning, and laundry in the financial district. In fact, its probably better than anything in Tribeca. Its owned and run by a man named Lumi, an old-school tailor who is there 7 days a week, from early morning to night. He cares deeply about his work and satisfying his customers. Hes a superb tailor, and hes given me good prices on dry cleaning unusual items like curtains and a couch slip cover. Top ranking!

Great neighborhood dry cleaner and tailor. I prefer all of my pants to be tapered, and Lumi does an excellent job with all of them. A pair I had done 6 months ago is still holding strong and looks like the original hem. Lumis a great guy and really cares about the work he does, also hes very generous with his espresso. Every time you come in hell offer you an espresso which I think is a great touch and yet another reason to keep coming back.

Guys, if you need to fix your pants or dress or whatever you need to be clean bring it to Lumi. He is just the best. He fixed my dress for couple hours while I was in the class. He does a great job. Besides his price policy is the lowest in downtown Manhattan. I recomend you to go to 140 Nassau St # 3, New York, NY 10038 and Lumi will take care of anything u need to be done. I swear I checked!!!!! Lidiay Maltseva Student of Pace University

I really have nothing to add beyond existing reviews: great guy doing a great job. I used to use the Ann St place and had to look elsewhere because I got my shirts wrinkled and smelling like burnt oil. To which the boss said "Ill talk to the guy who does it" or "its the machine". Albas work has not shown any imperfections so far. And its just a nicer experience and atmosphere - a much cleaner place, let alone the amazing espresso!
