This is a small place in the back of the lobby of 11 Broadway, near the Charging Bull sculpture (walking south, keep the bull on your left). The haircut I got was quick and looked fine. My wife pointed out an area that was not completely even but I didnt notice it (and neither did my mother). The shop had a good atmosphere except when one of the barbers relatives came through playing a handheld video game with the volume all the way up. I paid $12, and the barber gave me his card which also said $12. There was a sign in the shop that said $15 but I guess they are running a semi-permament discount. The shop offers several other services that the barber enthusiastically told me about. Id definitely get my hair cut there again if I was downtown.

I have straight hair and usually get a very simple cut. Nevertheless, this ended up being the worst haircut Ive ever gotten. After getting home and washing my hair, I looked in the mirror and realized that my head was a disaster zone. There were patches left (or missed) that were extremely long while the back was cut way too high and extremely short. It was as if the guy was just cutting at random. The front was crooked and the whole thing looked ridiculous when I tried to pick up the hair a bit in the front the way that Ive been doing for years. As a result, I had to go to an expensive salon and pay all over again for a professional to salvage the situation. Never again will I set foot in a $12 barber shop.

This place just ruined six months of work to grow my beard out. I walked in for just a quick clean up on my beard. I clearly said a clean up trim and I took the time to point out how my beard fades into my hairline and the shape Ive been grooming. Not 10 second later the guy hacks into my beard with clippers and shaves out a chunk off my jaw. Really? He didnt even take the time to comb out the beard to see the shape and see how it had been growing out and trimmed in the past. The one plus was that it only cost me $7 (that I now will pay my regular guy $20 to fix and an hour of time I didnt have to spare).

For me, getting a haircut is like going to the dentist - not usually an enjoyable experience. But the guys at 11 Broadway are friendly, down to earth and genuine, not to mention they do a meticulous job cutting hair and they only charge $12. The place is tiny with four chairs (although Ive only ever seen two barbers there at once), but the size is right for the business: I dont usually have to wait. I live on Staten Island and am downtown a few times a month for work, and make a point to stop into 11 Broadway for my haircut when Im in the neighborhood. Its really that worth it. Thumbs up!

My experience here was unbelievably great. Not only was I seated fast, but they made me feel like a regular and it was my first time there. The barber Russell cut my hair and did a fantastic job. He listened and was flat out skilled and very attentive to minor details that a lot of barbers miss. Also, Im black so obviously, my hair is different. This guy knew how to cut black hair. Im rather positive he could cut anyones hair. Also last couple things: the place is open until 7:30 and the cut was $15. This is an overall great spot to get your haircut.

Ive been going to Russ for about four years now. I started coming here when I worked in the financial district, after having been disappointed with a handful of barber shops in the area. Haircuts are reasonably priced, and the service is quick and efficient. If you call in advance to book an appointment, you can be in and out in about 15-20 minutes max. Theyre all good guys to BS with, and the business is well run. Even after moving to Midtown for work, I still come down here for a cut every few weeks.

It is shocking to me that this place got nothing but good reviews. Maybe these reviewers care more about a hot towel than a decent haircut. Not unlike other low end barber shops, 11 Broadway only knows how to do one haircut, a not very good one, and regardless of what you tell them you want, that is what youll get. Unless you like your hair cut extremely short, and you want to walk out looking like Roshel, the barber from the former USSR, then you should probably head elsewhere.

Had my first cut here yesterday. The place is awesome. Great prices, nice environment and super nice people. Levi knows his stuff and did a great job on my hair. They now have a new customer. My wife loved my hair and is ecstatic that I will not be cutting it myself anymore (Levi guessed that on first glance before cutting!). First impression, I would highly recommend this shop!

Just had my first experience there and I will definitely be going back. The barbers were friends, fast and courteous and the haircut was great. Add on the fact that for $12 you get the full haircut, they shave your neck with a straight ravor and a hot towel to top it all off, you cant go wrong. I highly recomment the place!

Great haircut; great attention to detail. When I sat down, I had no idea that it was only $12. Roman, the barber, spent 30 minutes, much more time than my usual barber and listened to my direction, "Not short." Ive been looking for a good barber for years. Finally, I found one.

I have gone here twice now. They are very nice on the phone and just as nice in person. When I go home and the lady doesnt notice any drastic changes, I can rest easy knowing they have done a good job cutting my hair so far. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

Gone to these guys for about 8 or 9 months and havent had a bad cut yet. Its great to find a humble place with solid prices in the financial district. Gentlemen, look no further than this shop! FYI: They are cash only but kindly installed an ATM inside the shop

Excellent cut and attention to detail. Barber did not rush at all, took his time as well. Was expecting something like $25-$30 so was pleasantly surprised to say the least that it was only $15. Highly recommended and will definitely be going here.

I lived in Seattle for 5 years and never found a good Barbershop. When I moved to New York three years ago, I was lucky enough to find this place. Most every one of their Barbers are great at what they do.
