Come here for 2 things mainly: morning breakfast on the go (an egg-white Western on a toasted everything, which they cook up exquisitely!) and beer purchases. Theyre a largely unknown source for craft beer...they have above-average quantity and variety of craft beers in the back, with pretty good turnover of the inventory, too. I got an amazing smokey Imperial stout once Ive never been able to find anywhere since, and I check in occasionally because they sometimes have Leffe Brune. I love Mom-and-Pops and despise the fact that Manhattans losing them to crap like more branches of banks we taxpayers bailed out--theyve done us no favors since. But, Im a tad bit more wary after this morning--after having spoiled skim milk poured into my coffee, which I discovered only after I got to the office. (Really, guys, you cant ensure its fresh milk being used for the morning breakfast rush at 6:45 a.m.?) Okay, its happened only once in the 50+ times Ive been here to grab breakfast on the go, and the coffees usually actually very good! I called when I discovered it--to tell them to throw the milk out--and the person who largely unintelligibly answered didnt seem to understand what I was trying to tell him or that I was trying to do L & M and their customers a favor; he seemed to think I was trying to place an order...I think. I couldnt really tell. I RECOMMEND this place nonetheless--the bad milk was a one-time thing, Im sure. The place is a neighborhood fixture, they work very hard (seriously...they never stop!), it aint pretty (thats New York!) and their prices are good (but not great...they have to pay Chelsea rent, after all!), but maybe check your usually-VERY-good coffee before you take it to-go, on the small off chance that its a bit, well...off.

This "old-school" neighborhood deli has been operating from the same location since 1971. (Few businesses survive even half that length of time.) Compared to other specialty shops and boutiques that have opened in the area, L&M aint the prettiest, but they are consistent. If youre fortunate enough to become a regular customer, they will learn your favorite orders by heart, who your favorite teams are, and still manage to have you in and out of there as quickly as possible. In addition to their classic burgers, fresh salad bar, and homemade chicken, turkey and roast beef, they also serve their classic breakfast items all-day. Great craft, domestic, and international beer selection in the back of the store, as well. As far as delis and "bodegas" go, I give L&M Deli 5 stars. Dont forget to try their Reuben.

Im an Inglewood native, and Ive never had L & M Delicatessen until this year. My go to is a maple turkey on squaw, toasted! The girls are always nice and the food is consistent and fresh! I cant believe I just found out about this place, but they have a customer for life. If the turkey sandwich wasnt so good, Id probably be able to rave about something else. The best deli around, give it a try!

I believe I may have gotten sick from their potato salad or chicken salad. When I came in a couple of days later and mentioned the possibility to one of the owners, he denied it and said I must have gotten "the 24-hour virus," which presumably can afflict someone in their 30s for the first time and cause vomiting for a week. Never again will I go back.

Have been going to them for many years. Food is very good, staff is warm and professional. Goes back to old school "caring for the customer" as well as pride in their food and establishment. Unfortunately, traits that are not as evident now- a- days...

In many ways L&M is the staple of the neighborhood, or at least a reminder of how New York neighborhoods used to be.

Bought some chap stick here. It was defective. Guy running the deli replaced it with a smile.
