I had a wedding to attend over Thanksgiving weekend and I bought a dress last minute that needed alterations in a rush. I took it to the corner tailor who didnt have it ready when I went to pick it up. It was Thanksgiving eve and I had to fly on Thanksgiving with my new dress. I was so distraught telling a friend and she told me, why didnt you bring it to Madame Paulette, dont you know they are the best ? I immediately ran over there and was greeted by a friendly employee who calmed me down, and it seemed they are used to doing the impossible for a client in a jam. She introduced me to an expert seamstress who was so compassionate and agreed to stay after normal business hours to complete the alteration needed. In addition, the dress was delivered to my apartment later that evening, It was truly unbelievable what they did for me. On a day to be thankful I was most indeed thankful for the amazing services they performed so last minute, the tailoring was perfect !!! This company is amazing and now I know why they are the very best in NYC! I thought this type of service was only available to celebrities or VIPS which I am neither, but they definitely treated me like one and when I wore my gown I felt like one ! They have earned a loyal client for life and I will definitely recommend them to all my friends....THANK YOU MADAME PAULETTE ....YOU ARE THE BEST

they restored a family heirloom wedding coat. AMAZING. This coat has been passed down through five generations of first born women, Crafted of heavy navy blue wool that was meticulously hand stitched and embellished with gold threading and brocade. The beautiful intricate stitching patterns are indicative of the Greek-Ottoman influence. It has survived the Ottoman Occupation, the Greek Genocide, both World Wars, the Nazi oppression, the Greek Civil War and made it all the way from Constantinople to Epirus then to Athens and finally to New York in one piece! How it survived the death marches, ransacking of the dowries, and its cross continental migration, can only be through its own determination to be a testimony to the strength and reliance of the women who have worn it, and have yet to wear it. Madame Paulette handled and gentle restored portions of this 115+ year old coat to perfection, My daughter wore it during the Betrothal portion of her wedding.

These people are fraudulent poseurs. They claim to be exclusive and expert and they charged me accordingly but they failed me miserably. I bought a beautiful leather jacket several years ago in Bassano del Grappa, a town in northern Italy. The leather was of the highest quality with the perfect "flat" black finish. When I gave it to them I explicitly asked them if they could clean it while keeping the same flat finish. In other words, I told them I didnt want to get it back with that awful cheap-looking shine I see on so many other leather jackets. Guess how I got it back? Thats right. I got it back with that awful cheap-looking shine. When I pointed this out they gave me that stupid dishonest nonsense about how it must be done this way. Unforgivable. I only gave them a star because the rating site requires you to give them at least one star. They dont deserve it. Do not go there. Theyre hacks.

I took something there which was missoni, They are good for this type of thing specifically. Other things it was just ok, and very overpriced. The last item I took, Gucci, the woman struggled a little bit with what looked right in terms of adjustments and for that kind of money I wasnt sure I was in the right place. Go there if recommended by the brand you bought the item from. Missoni uses them, So I went to the tailor who knows missoni. that worked out for me, the rest was ok. they are very very expensive. I rated them 4 star in stead of 3 for one reason, they will get any stain out of anything. literally, if you are paying the price. A blouse that costs 100$, you might as well go somewhere else. But if it is worth it, they can do it.

If I could give no stars I would but they will not allow me. We Had our clothes scheduled for a pick up on the 4th. They finally showed up on the 6th. The clothes were to be back by the 11th. It is the 14th and we are still missing items. They say they open at 7:30 am it is not 7:50 am and no one is picking up. If they were charging 5.00 a shirt I would expect this but this dry cleaning I am missing will cost me over 200.00 in dry cleaning charges. They are unprofessional and if I could save anyone time or money I would try Jeeves or something other than this company. It is insane how they do business. Also this is the 4th time this has occurred so it is my fault for thinking they would change.

I am so grateful that my friend, a fellow bride-to-be, recommended Madame Paulette. I had my dress custom made so it fit me perfectly, but the seamstress had done a poor job with the zipper. Christine at Madame Paulette was so warm and understanding. She gave me different options at different prices and really listened to what I wanted. The seamstress there was very talented. The work was high quality and the service was friendly. I was so appreciative, I hugged Christine. I highly recommend bringing your dress here for any alteration or repair. I am surprised that others had difficulties with customer service. I was treated with warmth, kindness and respect.

My wifes two Hermes scarves arrived today. She had tears in her eyes when she saw that you were able to remove the black "Sharpie" marker stain from the one. She had hoped, and prayed that the stain would come out. I knew they were in good hands and we had confidence in Madame Paulette. But I told myself at least the stain was on the inside of the scarf and wed just have to accept it and that perhaps all that could be done was to remove the grease splotch. To open the package and see the scarf had no sign at all of any stain nor any wear and tear from cleaning - we were so happy! Thank you very, very much!

They do a wonderful job cleaning, but a terrible job with customer service. I use them for work purposes mostly and each time, they have over-promised and under-delivered. It has taken them multiple times to set up an account to eliminate delayed deliveries past promise date...this has yet to happen and I am currently waiting on another delayed item for a customer who is extremely upset that her garment isnt here. This most likely will end up in a huge return for the store which could have all been avoided. The way that I was spoken to was uncalled for, especially in a situation where M.P is at fault.

If you ever need a trustworthy place to get cleaning or tailoring done, this is your place! Ive had numerous items restored here including a leather jacket, an evening gown, and some simple shirts, and it never fails to disappoint. In fact, most of the time the clothes look better than they did when I first bought them! I know some people are hesitant to try it out because it is pricey, but I assure you it is totally worth it. The staff here happens to be extremely welcoming and kind as well. Only have good things to say about this place.
