This post office is absolutely disgusting from their service all the way down to their professionalism. The workers here are very rude and have no consideration when it comes to their customers. They are constantly losing packages and then try to blame it on you. The first time they delivered my package to a completely different address and I had to run all around Manhattan to locate it. This second time was very aggravating because I stood at Window 15 for an hour only for one of the rudest employees there to come over and tell me he is not going to help me because it just hit 5:45 and they wanted to start closing. I am very understanding and do know that after a long day you just want to go home but I do not appreciate the way they approach or handle certain situations here. I made sure to call before I got there and when I did arrive (which was over an hour before closing) they completely pushed me to the side and had me wait for a supervisor that never showed up. I am so annoyed by this place and their employees. This post office is going down hill and fast. Their ratings arent good and almost all of their staff should be trained better when it comes to customer service. I never have issues with my packages from FedEx or UPS just USPS. I dont understand what is so hard about delivering a package to the correct address. If I could avoid using this post office I would and I would NEVER recommend this office to ANYONE!

Horrible horrible horrible. I ordered a package and have been ordering packages with the same address from my Amazon for the passed year. The person I ordered from this time utilized USPS and they fought with me about the address being wrong. They call me with a rude voice-mail about reporting an undeliverable package...I call back and she tells me an address o had never heard of. Rudely cuts me off every time I try to explain something, to at the end go off on a rant about how you cant have personal mail send to a business. Im like since when!? I and other people on my office put our name and address as the receiving party and FedEx and ups has no problems as long as the floor is correct. My company does not want us to put the company name on personal items and no one has a problem with is but lovely USPS. I called when they said it was undeliverable and forcibly told them the company name, and it was still rendered undeliverable. I never have a good experience with any USPS...I feel like they have slacked off and just do not want to deliver mail. On top of this...I wasnt even given the option to pick up my package before they sent it back to the sender. No package and nothing but attitude and rude remarks.

Mixed feelings about this specific post office. Grateful that they were able to get my package for me when I went to pick it up. Really really really annoyed that I had to pick it up in the first place since they couldnt manage to deliver it to me... I paid a good amount of money for a "Metro Post Same Day Delivery" service on an urgent package, but then was dissapointed when I got a tracking update saying they couldnt deliver because the business was closed... which wasnt true. So I headed over to the post office down the street to see if by some miracle they could give me my package. I didnt have high expectations going into the situation. The woman at the counter was friendly (although a tad grumpy that I came in with such a request minutes before they closed) and had me write down my information so she could go find it. Then she picked up an intercom and screamed my full name, full address, company, and tracking number out over the loudspeaker for all in the post office to hear.... embarrassing, but it worked because a few minutes later someone cam walking over with my package in hand..

This post office is known for long lines, scales that dont work, broken stamp vending machines, but most of all being understaffed and having employees who chat and talk and flirt and take forever to complete a transaction. (Yes Im talking about you, old hippie-looking dude with the pony tail.) Today I went in and waited in line for one of the three employees on duty and completed a transaction at 2:23 pm with cashier #16, who actually answered a cell phone and started a conversation in the middle of our transaction, never looking at me or talking to me again. UNBELIEVABLY RUDE! You know I expect the 16 year old at the Walgreens to pull stuff like that but this was an adult woman. I tried continuing to ask her the question that I was asking when she answered her call but she ignored me.

Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. I can not imagine how stressful their jobs are! They seem to take it in stride and are always willing to go the extra yard to assist a customer. Most customers are irritable and Ive seen several instances where they are entirely unreasonable - but the staff here is always very gracious, despite the fact that customers rarely allow enough time for post office transactions in their day and often begin each conversation with a complaint. I am a frequent ebay seller and often visit this branch - it has been an interesting anthropological study, witnessing how locals treat their postal employees. So, thank your mailman today - they deserve it!

I called the post office on 4th avenue in NYC to speak to a supervisor. They transfered me and it rang about 40 times before someone picked up in a very stressful and speaking quickly voice by the name of Ms. Rafferty. I proceeded to tell her that my mail is not being delivered and other neighbors are receiving my mail. I am being charged late fees when I never receive the mail. She then tells me she has to transfer me to a delivery supervisor and Im on hold for 15 minutes. Then I speak to Ms. Nickpee she tells me that she will address it with the carrier. Her tone is agitated and not very customer service. Perhaps they are over worked . Who knows???

Appalling service. Better postal service is available in any third world country. I dropped off a package in one of the large boxes inside the office.... Correct postage, digitally purchased from the USPS. The box disappeared. Gone forever. When Ive had to stand in line, wait times are often well over 20 minutes. You can be at the +front+ of the line and still find yourself waiting 5 or 10 minutes, as you watch 5 or 6 postal employees mill around at the speed of a slow sloth. The only post office Ive experienced that is worse than this is the 7th Ave Park Slope location in Brooklyn. But at least the employees are reasonably friendly there.

They postal carrier never knocks on the door or rings the doorbell and just leaves a slip on the mailbox telling to pick up the package. I have 3 dogs, and if anyone came in the vicinity and knocked or rang the doorbell they wouldve went off and we would have been alerted to them being there. After going to pick up my package, I brought the slip there with my ID. After waiting 15 minutes in line, the guy goes in the back for literally 5 seconds and says it isnt there... I leave print out tracking information and come back and wait in the same line. I show the same guy the slip, and he literally finds the package within a minute.
