I was very pleased with the professionalism, efficiency, care, and kindness with which the staff members at Asheville Area Alternative Funeral Services handled the death of my wife, Lee DiCesare. When I first went there, I felt cold and angry that she had died, that I would never see her again, but their kindness helped me a great deal in getting over that. And the modest cost for a perfectly fine and appropriate urn for her ashes as well as for the whole service came at the right time for us. After all the horror stories I had heard of funeral directors pressuring the bereaved spouse to "do right" by his or her beloved, I was braced for a fight. It wasnt necessary. They wanted only what I wanted. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone, and Im mighty grateful to REv. Brian Cole at All Souls Cathedral for recommending them. I know that my beloved wife Lee would also have been appreciative and grateful.

They were absolutely incredible to deal with. Very attentive to detail without being pushy. I would highly recommend their service if you have the unfortunate need.
