I entered Outliners and was asked to sit in the waiting area. I expected a wait since it was Saturday. Also, being a Cosmetologist I understand that unforseen things can cause us to run late from time to time. After waiting about 20 minutes, I was told by a barber to have a seat at his station. I had numerous pictures of what I wanted, even one from THEIR WEBSITE! Before he began, I explained several times what I wanted, and besides it looking neat, crisp and even, I wasnt picky. I was happy and excited to have it done since it took me a long time to build the courage to do something different with my hair! Upon beginning my hair cut, as in-he dragged his clippers across one side of my head a few times (territorial markings?), he whispered that he had appointments waiting, and that he thought I might just want a "..little line-up or something..". He explained that is why he took me first. (I have a very natural, lions mane for hair! Why not inform me of his time constraints BEFORE taking any hair off?!) He told me their appointment was 25 minutes prior, I watched them walk in-and they were quite late! I told him I would wait so he could spend the proper time on me; Meanwhile I would visit an ATM since, although it is advertised they accept credit/debit cards-THEY DO NOT! (Good luck at the convenient store next door which you may be directed to-they only dispense if you have certain cards.) Two ATMs and three clients later (about an hour) he redirected me to his chair. He AGAIN asked me what I wanted and throughout the haircut handing me a ridiculously large hand mirror which was useless due to all the residue on it as well as the wall mirror. I should have known there would be a problem when he explained needed to run next door to the salon get a few supplies; He came back with one huge pinch butterfly clip..? Unnerved, impatient and running low on free time, I left incredibly discouraged and went home to fade my own sides and search for a more capable barber. I couldnt even go an afternoon/evening with that HOT MESS of a hairstyle! Since he didnt part or section off my tremendous amount of hair before he started mangling my curls to oblivion, I had no choice but to take my mohawk further up than I wanted! The right side had a jagged square section, and the left side was not sectioned at all! Picture a zigZag done by a 3 year old with clippers! There were random hairs about 3/4 inch long between my long hair and the faded part which looked super awkward and had my curls laying unnaturally. Also, there was NOT ONE define line! With the exception of the outrageously HUMONGOUS design of hard parts he put in-which was also very sloppy, rushed and ridiculous. He also, unnecessarily took a straight razor to the parts, so my scalp was left abraided, irritated and inflamed, and unfortunately I did not see much sanitizing going on here-yuck. Nearing the end of my experience, he again stated that he had more clients waiting-VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I love to be busy, however I love my professional reputation and taking good care of my clientele even more. I will always try to get to know a new client as I want them to COME BACK- not leave me a crap review somewhere. I would have appreciated this barber explaining he was too busy to take me on this day, and would have likely come back a different day. Bottom line, literally one of the worst experiences in a professional shop. I had to invest more time, money and energy into getting my hair looking proper after this ordeal-ANNOYING. * I also watched a young man sit for an unacceptable amount of time while HIS barber was doubling as the grill chef outside. Other reviewers said this place was child friendly-judging by the music, canter and delays, I highly disagree. I would never subject my child to this nonsense, and I am sad that I wasted two hours of my life that I will never get back here...One star, as I DID see a few remarkable fades while there. Also, I didnt leave crying, but this place/barber wont be receiving another dollar or minute of mine!
