I called Kessler Construction in Jan 15 for a bathroom renovation estimate. He was recommended by several professionals as well as Angies List and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). I spoke with Larry personally. He came to my house and provided a detailed estimate. I did get other estimates, but Kesslers was the most fair in cost and timing. I waited a while to post this review because I wanted to see how the quality of workmanship held up over time. We are quite happy with the quality of the remodel after 8 months of constant use. My husband and I couldnt be more satisfied with the job Larry and his crew at Kessler Construction did with our bathroom. The crew arrived promptly each day between 7-8 am and cleaned up between 4:30 - 5 pm each night. The entire process took 6 days - exactly as quoted. The total cost was exactly as quoted. I would recommend Kessler Construction for any remodel jobs. I found Larry and the guys professional, courteous and thorough. I would work with them again in an instant because I wouldnt have to worry about the quality or cost.

My company wanted to replace a standard wall with an operable wall. As the project contact, I called Larry to go over details and schedule a time for him to come out and do a quote. He wasnt the first or last contractor I called and EVERY contractor that I spoke to said they needed to come out at no charge to look at the space to give a more precise estimate as well as go over the material choices and any suggestions they may have. When I proposed to Larry to come out, he asked me if I was the decision maker, I told him I was the company contact for the project, and that everything would be going through me. He then told me if I wasnt the decision maker there was no point in talking to me and how it was completely unnecessary to come out to do a quote, even without him knowing anything about our structure and requirements for the wall in question. He then declined to bid. Very unprofessional.

The guy that I spoke to on the phone was long winded and basically said that giving me a quote wasnt worth his time for a commercial project since we needed it for negotiations for a lease agreement with the purpose of using a contractor, possibly him, in the near future (less than 4 months) to do the upgrades. I then said to him basically, "lets get to the point. You are saying that it isnt worth your time, so how much do you want to look at it?" After that we both agreed that it wouldnt be a good fit. My take away was that they didnt want to do a "free" quote. They must be busy enough to not need a 30K-50K commercial project, which is good for them.
