We hired this company to stop the water coming into our 120 year old basement in our century home. Lakewood has horrible storm drains and main lines, and Girard Construction Group took on the City of Lakewood to force them to get us tied into the new storm main. They excavated out home and it was a mess, trucks were in and out and machinery was here too. The foundation was good except for one wall which Girard removed after jacking up the corner of the house on stilts. New block was installed too. This company installed a material called Marflex 5000 which is like a rubber shield against water and its thick. The best stuff available. Before they were able to backfill with stone, we had 3 days of heavy rain and not one single drop of water in the basement. With the road bore and waterproofing, we spent aprox. $28,000 for this service and wish we had done it years ago. The interior system left the basement smelly and humid but the exterior system from Girard is the once and for all of waterproofing. Homeowners should NEVER waste money on interior systems. Face reality and spend the money. Glad we hired Girard Construction and would recommend them to anyone wanting to fix their home the right way. Huge major project and dirty job, but end result is perfect. Very pleased. Very excited to finally enjoy a dry basement. Great employees, Roche the owner is fabulous. Thank you. Our basement was a wet, tragic nightmare. We just purchased the home last September and by Easter, we had over a foot of standing water during the winter thaws. We spoke with many waterproofing companies that wanted to come inside and cut the floors, but none of their sales pitches made any sense. The City of Westlake referred us to a company in Medina that is well-renown for quality work, and they were right. Girard Construction was timely, courteous and explained in full detail why NOT to waterproof the home from the inside. Granted, we spent a lot of of money on our foundation, but Roche Girard turned our lagoon into a mold free, dry and clean basement living area. EXCELLENT contractors for utilities (they repaired our sewer system while they were here), and basement waterproofing. I would strongly refer Girard Construction Group in Medina to anyone. They are even going to my sister-in-laws home in Michigan to handle her basement this fall. Best of the best. And I cannot thank you enough Roche Girard. 5 stars and then some!!! Im not one to review companies as most are lackluster and void of proper communications, especially in construction. I used Girard Construction Group this morning for a sanitary sewer backup and repair. Our Superbowl party tomorrow was on the line with 30 people attending, yet toilets and drains werent working. Not only did their emergency dispatch call me back, they had a crew here in under an hour. Our yard was destroyed due to the extensive surgery needed on our sewer line, but the house is draining again. They even had strong relationships with our city to go ahead and do the work without permits and inspections until Monday. A lifesaver you guys were. Professional guys. Fun guys. Walked us thru every step. Roche and his guys did us great and our review is 10 stars. I am so very grateful and my wife wants to make sure you guys are all fed when you come back to backfill. I have hired Girard Construction Group on numerous occasions. Roche Girard has a great operation going on and is very thorough. His company has handled the complete demolition of my bathroom and build a new stone shower, and relocated all the plumbing and drains. They installed my hot water tank and also handled the installation of a brand new battery backup sump pump system. I have used them to handle all of my water and sewer problems as well. Girard Construction Group is very reasonable in price and fixes everything right the first time. They even installed my dishwasher and helped me remodel my kitchen. Experts in plumbing and electrical. Very knowledgeable people. Very friendly. My number 1 pick as a go-to contractor for many home issues. “

I was introduced to Girard Construction soon after I moved to a new-to-me house a couple of years ago when my ground sump pump quit working. They came out right after I got in touch with them, they looked at the situation (I had a temporary make-do arrangement to hold me over) and brought out a new pump the next day. Since then, they have helped me with a couple other issues, including the failure of the aerator in my septic system. In addition to doing the work they were there for, they have always taken the time to educate me on how the systems at my home work. I feel very comfortable in saying that Girard Construction is quick to respond to both emergency and routine calls and they are fair priced to boot!

I hired this company for some basement waterproofing. We ended up having to replace some block walls, repair a leaking septic tank and I had them replace a driveway for me as well. Their quality of work is 10 times that of other area contractors. My basement is flawless, and dry. My septic tanks are flowing and working. And we love the new driveway, outstanding workmanship in the concrete. The finish is amazing. The owners name is Roche Girard and he is top in his class, a true expert. Old fashioned pride, integrity and knowledge. The inspectors from the County even recommended him. Glad we choose Girard Construction. Thank you Roche. Great work. Will use again. Truly a first class outfit. These guys blow away their competition. 24 hours service, and really know their game well. Our 400 foot sewer project was enormous and most other Medina contractors were either clueless on how to build it, or so cheap on the bids that we knew it would be a nightmare. My wife and I choose Girard Construction because their owner Roche Girard is best in his league. Abandoned our septic, hooked us into public water and installed a brand new sanitary system in 3 days. Professional. Pleasant. Good mannered and knowledge based. a 10 star review to this company and thank you guys for your hard work. Will recommend to anyone, anytime.

We have hired Girard Construction Group on many occasions. They are always on time, professional and they get the job done. They have the highest customer ratings of any contractor in Medina County as well. Knowing we can have someone out to our house at 2 in the morning is a big thing for us as emergencies are always a killer. This company handles our sewer work, installed our water service, and waterproofed our home. Best of the best. You get what you pay for with other contractors working out of their truck, no workers comp or licenses and insurance. Girard Construction Group is the real deal. Thanks guys. We love you!

Noticed my sump pump wasnt working on a Friday night around 10:30pm. Called the # on the website, received a call back less than 5 minutes later. Spoke with Roche, he walked me through a few things to do to determine if I really did need an emergency call. Turned out my backup pump would handle the issue until they could come out to replace my main pump a few days later. Very prompt and detailed in their explanation. HIGHLY recommend them!!
