I had a 9 am appointment to get my roots bleached and died purple as well as to get a haircut (my hair is shoulder length). When I get my hair died I always let the stylist know that my desired color is lavender and I show them something to compare it to, but since purple fades so quickly I ask for them to die it a slightly darker shade of purple, which I also give a reference color for). THIS APPOINTMENT TOOK FOUR HOURS! At other salons it usually takes about two hours. The stylist died my hair a dark red/pink color which is not at all what I asked for, then when I tried to tell her the color wasnt what I asked for she told me "I think it looks great and so does everyone else, maybe your just not seeing it correctly." !?!? In addition to getting my color entirely wrong, I have been finding long pieces of hair that she missed when she was cutting my hair, as well as uneven layers. She offered to schedule me a new appointment so that she could fix my hair, but with the amount of mistakes she made in the four hour appointment, I would be scared at what else she would do to my head with another appointment. The only reason I gave this two stars is because they were all very friendly and clean. I have family that gets their hair done there, and they always look good so maybe it was just the girl that cut my hair that didnt know what she was doing. Either way, I dont intend to go back and I would discourage other people from going.

Ive been to Soto Loft three times now- once for a hair and makeup trial for my wedding, once on the day of (for hair and makeup for myself and 4 bridesmaids), and once for a haircut. All three times, Ive had great experiences. The salon was always clean, bright, and attractive and everyone who works there was very friendly and helpful. Appointments were always on time and the stylists struck a great balance between working quickly but also working very thoroughly. For my haircut and bridal style, I had Mary and she is AMAZING. Shes the only stylist Ive been to who has really studied my facial structure and listened to my needs in order to give me a style that fit me and my lifestyle. Id highly recommend her, and the salon itself, for anyone needing everyday or special occasion styling.

I had a special occasion hairstyle done here a while ago, and the stylist and everyone who worked there was so friendly and accommodating. When I would ask her to add something, she more than obliged. However, as the appointment went on, I noticed that my hair just didnt look good. It was bumpy, crunch and not even all the way straightened. And by the end, I got to look at the back and it looked like there was a dead animal attached back there. I was on a schedule and she wouldnt really have the time to fix it, so I thanked her and left so I could salvage the style. I wish it had been better because I loved the atmosphere and all the employees are fantastic, but if you need an updo, go elsewhere.

I went to SOTOS to have an analysis for a customized haircut to the shape of my face. My hair was about 2 inches below my ears. I told Jennifer I needed my ears covered as I wear hearing aides and need my ears covered, and liked it bobbed in the back. She said I need fullness on the sides and shorter on top. It sounded good. She turned the chair and began the haircut. She did the exact opposite. Longer on top and sides are even with the top of my ears. I thought she was trimming but she THINNED the top of my head. I cannot do anything with my hair. It is beyond unacceptable. $84.00 later, I am devastated. I cannot recommend this salon.

my boyfriend bought me a spa day at soto for my birthday, and ill definitly be coming back- im hooked! i had an hour massage and a signature facial (i think thats what the facial was called). it was just what i needed! the atmosphere in the spa was seriously dreamy- candles, music, and it smelled amazing! it was so incredibly relaxing, and everyone was super friendly and professional. ive only had massages at massage envy before, and this was SO much better- more of a total spa experience. and i left with glowy skin, thanks to the facial! thanks soto!

Zero rating - Since it is my first visit at this salon, I arrived 15 minutes early for my hair color appointment. My appointment is at 200pm, and I was there by 145pm. The receptionist informed the hairdresser that Im there early. At 215pm, Im still waiting. When I followed up, I was told the hairdresser felt ill and cannot do my hair. And theres no one else available on that day. I waited 30 minutes for nothing. How come no one who had the courtesy to inform me about the situation? Where is the high standard of service towards clients?

I recently was sold a special for a bunch of treatments for only 50 buck so i jumped on it and thought what a great gift for my wife. I have found out that all the package does is make you upgrade everything in order to use it. What a terrible and deceptive way to get customers to your salon. I will have my wife us the freebies one at a time and then we will make sure no one visits your terrible salon again. Great job from the management on keeping customers happy.(happy going elsewhere)

I have been getting my hair cut and colored with Julie for about a year. Employees are very pleasant and atmosphere is great. Most interesting is this spa is owned by the employees. They have a great points system as well so that you can receive money off services and free product for repeat business. Since I cut and color my hair on a regular basis (plus plus!) Spa is pleasant too. Cant go wrong with this local business! Ask for Julie for new hair cuts. Shes got a good eye!

Booking the appointment was easy to do as a first time customer, they were helpful in explaining their levels of service and price options. Their staff and the atmosphere was professional and serene. I used to go somewhere at home for the spa service I received but this place was even better than I expected. I could not be happier with the service, their professionalism, friendliness and I will definitely be spreading the word and heading back!

I called Sotos Salon on Wednesday to schedule an appointment, the first call i only got two ringtones , so i tried again and got the busy signal. The third time i got through to the salon. A man picked up the phone and yelled at me WERE CLOSED!! As if a paying customer was suppose to know that. I am very mad and do not plan on going to Sotos. So callers beware if the first call doesnt go through dont try again you may get yelled at.

Been going to Soto Salon and Spa for years! My hair is always perfect and Jaci F, Jennifer, and Michelle make sure I know how to style before I leave. They perform facial analysis so that my hair compliments my facial structure! Gel nails are the best! Shows off my new wedding band set! Thanks Gabby and Sara❤ Leah does my anti-aging treatments in the spa. I get alot of compliments on my skin and age! That makes my day!
