Dear Shavin & The Midnight Hour Band, Katelyn and I can not thank you enough for the EXTRAORDINARY performance that you guys delivered on our wedding night 6/30 @ The Waterworks. We could not have wished for a better sounding, more entertaining or more professional band. EVERYONE loved you guys! I can not tell you how many compliments we got about the band, but to put it modestly, there were too many to count. You guys made the difference in taking our wedding night from good to GREAT. Our families and friends are critical when it comes to rating bands and their performances, with that being said that you guys get a PERFECT 10! A few of our guests commented that you guys sounded so good and professional that many times throughout the night they thought that the actual recordings of the songs were being played, that is how much you nailed EVERY song! We can not thank you enough for making our wedding night the best and most fun night of our lives. Everyone danced ALL night long and EVERYONE couldnt get enough of The Midnight Hour Band! Lastly, Shavin was a GREAT band leader to deal with. He accommodated our EVERY request and made our wedding night more special than we ever could have expected. Big Ric Rising isnt just A band...they are THE band. My daughters wedding was made a truly special occasion because of the talent and professionalism of this crack ten-piece unit. Every single player was top notch - from the shredding guitarist to the killer rhythm section, to the fabulous horns and the world class lady singers. They didnt just play music, they gave a real PERFORMANCE worthy of a concert hall. And unlike many wedding bands, their sound mix was perfect. They were powerful but never too loud. And then there is Big Ric Minter himself. Ric is not only a singer without peer (dont miss his version of James Browns "This Is A Mans World"...youll never forget it.), but a true gentleman who does everything he can to please both his client and his audience. And in performance? WOW! He had everyone up and dancing all night, even those who normally wouldnt leave their seats. In addition, he has a wonderful sense of humor and soul to burn. I would recommend this wonderful ensemble to anyone who knows the difference between just good music and really GREAT music by a band and leader who really care about showing their client and their guests a great time. Dave at Brandywine was a pleasure to work with. With his help we selected a DJ/Live mix which included a 3 piece jazz band to play during the ceremony and reception cocktail hour/dinner with a DJ to play during the party section of the evening. Tony from the band was easy to work with and even learned some new songs for our ceremony. DJ Bob was very professional and worked with our music preferences and was set up very early. He was classy and gave a wedding worthy performance not like a bat mitzvah (thought I am sure he could change his performance for an event like that). Overall we had a great time with the group and would contact then again in the future for our music needs. Many Thanks!

Big Ric Rising performed at my wedding and made it a truly memorable experience. A few things which stood out: BIg Ric and the band took care of all the evenings music details; I didnt have to worry about a thing (big plus for anyone who has to help plan and coordinate a wedding). The band played amazing music, and had everyone dancing even prior to dinner (I had many guests tell me its the only time theyve seen that happen). Big Ric also got the entire audience to participate, dance, and enjoy the night. No big groups of people sitting around. For a night as important as my wedding night, Ric helped make everything perfect and helped to make sure everyone had a blast! Thanks again Big Ric!!!

I just recently went out to a BVT showcase and all I can say is WOW!!!! Every single band blew me out of the water as soon as they began playing! Its a tough pick but I have to say that Big Ric Rising really stole the show for me. The bands energy was just contagious! To top it all off, I was able to meet and chat with all of the bandleaders and BVT staff members throughout the showcase. Everyone was so professional and accommodating! They answered every question I had and went out of their ways to make sure that everyone there was having a good time! Id recommend them any day! 5 stars!!!

When we booked our band, Strangers, for our wedding on May 12, 2012, we never imagined how great they would make our celebration. A few weeks before the wedding with met the band director who really helped us plan the timing of the events at the reception. Their music, energy and presence truly made are day great. My family and I have seen JellyRoll play on multiple occasions. Wonderful band! Very tight and and in sync. Their multiple singers really gives the band an edge and ability to cover a wide variety of genres. All of the members are clearly experienced. Nothing but a good things to say and good times with this band, come ready to dance! :)
