Dear Luigi and Giovanni Owners and Maria , I went into the store tonight around 5:30. I went into the prepared foods area just to pick up a few things for my dad, as I have done many times in the past. I stood there for 5 minutes with my son,( we were the only people in the store at the time) while 3 workers just plain ignored us. No hello, or may I help you, or just even what can I get you.. just banter between the 3 workers. Maria was one of them. She just turned her back on us , while another female worker complained about an order that was placed( by a person wanting catering) and she walked away, and some young kid stood with his back to us. I waited and waited until finally I just walked out. The young girl at the register asked if everything was alright, I told her no. "I cannot get any service, no one will wait on me"..she was going to run back and get their attention, but we just continued to walk out. I will NEVER spend another dime at Luigi and Giovanni ever again. I have frequented L&G many times but never again. Believe me I will tell all of my friends about the experience. I will go down to Ardmore to Carlinos and spend my money there. At least they have service. Hire new staff and get rid of Maria.

Food was very good, but our order was wrong. We had a terrible experience and the service was the worst I ever encountered. The price was high considering the terrible workers that were working. We were told our meal included specific items, it did not. When questioning the food presented we were told we should know how it comes. We do not recommend these bad hosts! Our experience was June 2016-

Theyre racist here, Im African American and went in with my Caucasian friend. I ordered 1st of 5 others including my friend. Everyone recieved their food and left before mine and all I ordered was a hoagie. Im not sure if it had to do with race but it sure as hell seemed like it. A hoagie doesnt take 20 mins. Dont even take 10 mins

The very, very best Sunday pork youll ever have! Sesame rolls were delicious! The service was PHENOMENAL!! The owner couldnt have been more helpful! I dont get to Newtown Square very often, but when I do, I always stop in Luigi &Giovanni. Always! You wont be disappointed!

They have some decent stuff in here but the place needs a cleaning badly. very dirty establishnent. Everything is overpriced. $6 for a loaf of Sarcones bread...are you kidding? I can get it for $2.50 at sarcones & its fresh.

Second time going there! Meat very good so far. Just have beef Soup on for the games. Made roast and vegetables, carrots, celery, Onions, fresh parsley, marrow bones and 2 large Hunts tomato sauce. Delish!
