Do yourself a favor: If you go to Center City Barber Shop, get Murray to cut your hair. Do NOT let Zoya anywhere near it. I have gotten my haircut by her a few times and getting her to give me the haircut I want is like pulling teeth. And it always turns out sloppy. In fact, I showed her a picture of my hair that I had taken right after I got a great haircut from another stylist...and Zoya said "I cant make it look like that because the guy in the picture has different hair texture than you." I was puzzled by that statement, because the person in the picture WAS ME. Furthermore, she doesnt seem to grasp how hair works. I tell her I want it to be thinner and a tad shorter in the back and she shoots back at me "if I make it any thinner you will be bald and there will be holes in the hair." I try to tell her that this is simply not so. The hair stylist I used to have always gave me a much cleaner cut and there were never holes in my hair. Each time I use Zoya, I feel more and more like she just doesnt understand hair.

Murray was great! In Philly from out of town and needed a haircut bad. Checked Google maps and City Center Barber Shop opened at 7:30am. Went in, no waiting, fast haircut and good conversation without sacrificing quality. I have to come back to Philly in a month and may wait that long for my next cut so I can come back here.

I am really happy with this place. Good haircut, straight razor touch up on the neck and around hte ears, good service. I called ahead for an appointment, but did not need one. Easy location to find: 3rd floor of The Racquet Club of Philadelphia. $15 for a haircut, no extra frills and no stylist, just three barbers.

Great traditional style barber shop located on 3rd floor at the Racquet Club. They take walkins or appointments. You dont have to be a member. Ive never had a bad haircut! Zoya and Murray are awesome!

great barbershop, very efficient, terrific setting, and murray is awesome. ps. even though its in the Racquet Club, you dont need to be a member to go here.

Best barber shop in Philadelphia, I have been coming here a couple years and find the barbers to be top notch, and they only charge $15.

$20 and quick. Walking accepted but its tight. Best to call ahead. Its in the racquet club which threw me off at first.
