Nick and Brian, the two gentlemen who run Modern Male barbershop, are two of the new generation of manliness. It is great to have two guys who are knowledgeable about what it takes to cut a guys hair properly, whether it be a short clipper cut, or a guy who opts to keep his hair long. Their straight razor treatment is not to be missed, either! Their prices are very fair, and they offer some products for sale to help you with your home grooming needs as well. The atmosphere in the shop is exactly what a guys barbershop should be: manly, clean, and professional. There are mens interest magazines and coffee-table books strewn around, and a fridge full of A&W root-beer; complimentary. Nick and Brian are personable guys, who will strike up a conversation with you as soon as you walk in, and listen attentively to your requests on your haircut, and offer constructive input to take the haircut to the next level. I cannot recommend this barber shop any more highly to a guy who is sick of mediocre unisex salon cuts.

Modern male is not worth a cent of your money. When I fist walked in I was greeted by the definition of a hipster asking if we had a appointment (you need an appointment even though its not on there website) after that I got a huge sigh of disappointment and he said fine Ill take him as if I was the last kid to pick in dodgeball then I was greeted by a very metro guy with an iPad trying to get all of my information while I was getting a crumby haircut then I asked for the hair on the top of my head to be a little longer than the sides but apparently there is only shorter than the sides or no cutting the top at all (may I remind you great clips have no problem with this hair cut) then I get to the cash register and the haircut is $20 plus tip ( no wonder their price wasnt on there website either) i mean I didnt get my hair cut with diamond scissors made in a volcano that was owned by the ancient Romans

Since moving to the area Ive longed for a barber shop where I could kick back and relax while I get my hair cut. This is the kind of environment where you develop relationships... a place where you can get a hair cut, talk about your problems, crack a few jokes and eat a cannoli which the owner sometimes puts out on Saturdays; not a salon where you go with your wife and read Womens Health magazines while waiting for your turn. The owner is young with a lot of experience and you can tell he has put a lot of thought into his business and I can appreciate that. Modern Male treats you like a salon but in a barber shop atmosphere. Go check it out!

I was looking to change things up with a new and more stylish haircut. My sisters boyfriend goes to Modern Male and really likes it, so I made the 40 minute drive there form where I live and could not be more thrilled with the results. I showed Bryan a few pictures of what I liked and let him take care of the rest. He gave me a great cut, cleaned up my beard, and was just an all around nice guy. If you are in the area (or willing to drive, like me) and are looking for a great barbershop, head right to Modern Male. Ive been smiling since I was there. Its amazing how great a solid haircut can make you feel!

This was my first time here. My haircut is a flat top. This cut is very difficult to do. Throughout the years Ive only found a few barbers that can do it to my satisfaction. The barber that took care of me was named Ray. Ill say this and I dont complement people unless they do a great job.Ray gave a great flat top. I will return to this barbershop for as long as Ray continues to cut hair with the high quality that he does. Im sure the rest of the barbers are also good but I can only speak of Ray. This review is long overdue. Ive been going to Modern Male (Ray) for over a year now. Every visit from the first one has been quintessential . You want your cut to be the way you imagined it every time. Not to mention the option of having a local brewed cold one while your getting straighten out. I moved 45 minutes away to Newtown and I still wont go anywhere else. So fellas unless you enjoy the salon atmosphere, next time you need a cut.Do yourself a favor and give Modern Male a shot youll be glad you did.

Yesterday I brought my 3 year old son into the shop for the first time to see if they could fix a really bad hair cut he got at a different barber shop. Not only did they fix it, but you would never have known he had a bad hair cut in the first place. My son loved the experience and the prices were very fair. There is also a nice line of products just for men too. We will definitely be coming back for his next hair cut and I would recommend coming to this shop for a true mans hair cut.

This is the only place that I will get my hair cut. The guys understand how to cut hair and stay up on current styles. In fact, I think they are going so far as to dictate style in this area, as it is pretty plain to see the gentlemen of this region who get modern male cuts. If youre looking for a good clean cut in a great environment, then this is the place. Highly recommend. My barber is Pawel, but they are all very talented and Id trust any of them with my hair.

Ive been getting my haircut here for quite a while now and Ive had pretty much every barber there. Pawel is by far the best barber there. He is always on time, I get right in the chair the moment I step in the shop, he listen to what you want to achieve with your hair instead of just doing what he wants, hes very consistent, and I always get a great haircut no matter what new hair cut idea I throw at him. He took my barbershop experience from 3 stars to a 5 star!

I dont usually leave reviews, but I felt I had to. Ive been here 4 times now. And, Ive seen two different barbers.(Ray and Mark) I look for consistency in my haircuts, and I found it. Great guys, great conversation, great cuts. What else could you ask for? Having been going to a salon for the la st 10 years, I cant tell you how nice it is to get a cut and talk about last nights game. Men, get out of the salons and give these guys a try. You wont regret it!
