There are at least 4-5 unlicensed barbers on duty at P@pis Barber Shop and at P@pis Barbershop #2. From my experience, I can tell that these "barbers" are not skilled in sanitation, safety, or cutting. I have observed these unskilled "barbers" shave personal underarm hair in the shop with the same clippers they service customers with. They also reuse straight razors on numerous customers. Using the neck duster on underarms and counter tops. I was told by the owner, that these "barbers" are in training, but I know personally because I went to a barber school that they are not. They have permit or apprentice license on their person or station. Nor do they receive any hair cut or book training. The "barbers" have a practice that when they are not servicing customers they remove their barber jacket to blend in, just in case State Board inspectors come. There are also safety hazards. They clean the shop floors with harsh chemicals while the customers are inside to inhale the fumes. They also cook inside the shop with hot plates, deep fryers, and on one occasion, I witnessed a grill inside. The restroom inside the shop is urinated on daily by the shop owner. There is constant urination on the floor, that the owner fails to clean as well as feces in the trash. I have had females customers complain on numerous occasions, that the floor and the smell is so terrible they refuse to use the restroom. During my time at P@pis Barbershop I became aware that is the way the owner operates. He hires unlicensed barbers so that none of his practices are questioned. He requires these barbers to work 12 hour shifts so that he can avoid cutting certain customers hair. He hires licensed barbers to appear to be a legal establishment. The unlicensed outnumber the licensed. The owner of the shop fires barbers who that dont do as he says. In my years of working with shop owners I have never met an owner of such low quality. An owner that does not care about the quality of the cut leaving as much as quantity. While there fixing and trying to regain customers was a big part of being on staff. Before leaving Papis Barbershop I asked about the unlicensed barbers as well as other violations. The owners response was a bunch of lies about them being students and that it was water and not urine on the floor etc. I was then asked to leave the shop for "Having a big mouth and not sticking with the 12 hour schedule". To further more damage his reputation the owner is telling customers that barbers that no longer work there is on vacation. He needs to be stopped. I stand by my words 100%.

Got a hide fade, politely asked to not receive a line up so the barber became frustrated and did not cut the hair on the back of my neck, cut the back of my head in serveral spots, one cut being very bad, and missed hair around my entire head. He then rushed me out of the chair, not showing me with a mirror his finished product and looked to me expecting a tip. This is not the first time Ive had a terrible job done here. Needless to say, Im not coming back again.

Went to p@pis today and after I got home I felt the back of my head and I had scratch marks on it from the razor they used. About a hour after I asked my wife to look at the back of my head and it is all razor burnt and I have multiple scratches, almost like they used an old razor on the back of my head. Do not recommend this place.

Whats to say, its a barbershop in a military town. They do pretty good fades depending on the barber you get. Its not too pricey around $10 for a cut and they actually give you a razor fade too. It gets pretty packed on Sundays noon to the early afternoon.

Didnt appreciate having to fix the haircut that the OWNER gave my husband! A HUGE gash was cut into the back of his head! The shave was totally uneven... Not worth paying for. Highly disappointed, he plans to never return.

All of the barbers are phenomenal! Only reason for not giving five stars is that they are packed on sundays and there is no method for whos next.

Why is it that at 3:45 PM on a Wednesday both locations are closed but the website states open seven days a week 9 to 9?
