Kelly Fuqua

My daughter is in her ninth year of dance at StarMarkers. She started in a clogging class and after the first year started on a clogging competition team. Nine years later, she is now on teams consisting of clog, tap, jazz and much to everyones surprise, hip hop. This is all thanks to the hard work, dedication and love that Christi has shown to my daughter. She has turned her into a well rounded dancer. I have said on many occasions that I am so blessed and thankful to be part of the StarMakers family, and they truly are like a family. Christi is not only passionate about dance, she is passionate about each of these girls. She not only teaches dance, she helps teach life to them and tries to lead and guide these girls in the right direction. As my daughter is now a senior and in her last year of classes at the studio, it makes me sad to think that we wont be there next year; however, Christi along with the other teachers have helped prepare Rachel for college next year, as she plans to dance with the Bailey Mountain Cloggers of Mars Hill University. None of this would have been possible without Christi Stanton and the StarMakers staff/family.

My daughter is in her 7th year of dance at StarMakers and is currently on 5 different competition teams. Her years at StarMakers have helped foster a true love of dance and a passion for performing. She has also developed close, life-long friendships with the other dancers, and has found real life role models and mentors in the staff that work with her. In addition to increasing dance talent, the studio has also helped develop a sense of service learning in her through opportunities to serve the community and those less fortunate. As a parent, it is wonderful to see your child blossom into a confident, contributing member of society, and I truly believe that her time and instruction at StarMakers has been the catalyst for this transformation. My daughter is currently in her 14th year of dance with Starmakers Dance Company. She is now 16 and on 4 competition teams (Clogging, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Irish). When she started dance at 2 we never thought her dance would blossom into what it is today. Starmakers has become more than just a dance studio. They have become family and she has made life-long friends. All of this is made possible by Christi and all of her instructions and staff. Their passion for dance and the love they show their dancers is something special and rare. They not only have taught my daughter dance, they have helped her become a more self-disciplined and responsible young lady. Starmakers and Starkidz have been such a blessing for my family. My daughter was shy, reserved, and very "in her shell" but the Starmakers staff brought out the confidence and potential that I always knew she had. She loves to dance and has learned so much through dance. My son has benefited so much from the afterschool program, Starkidz. His behavior has turned a complete 180 and his love of reading has grown so much. Both of my children go to the Starkidz summer camp and they love it. I know they are happy, safe, and cared for by all of the staff members. In fact, my kids ask on Saturday morning why Starkidz is not open. We cannot thank Starmakers and Starkidz enough for what they have done for our family.

My daughter has danced/tumbled at StarMakers since she was three. She is seven now and is on four competition teams (Clogging, Hip Hop, Acro and Jazz). She is also on an Irish Performance team. She has developed so many friendships at dance. StarMakers has helped her self-esteem tremendously. They also have taught her self-discipline and increased responsibility. The lessons go far beyond dance, these are important life lessons. StarMakers is more than a dance studio to our family, they are our extended family. StarMakers is an incredible dance company. They have an awesome after school program, which is called StarKids. Its hard to be a working mother these days. Youre always concerned about the care and wellbeing of you kids. Well that was me until I found StarKids. The staff truly invest time in my daughters. They help the kids with their homework. My girls took advantage of taking dance classes. They have taken tap, jazz, and hip hop. StarMakers well trained staff works with the dancers to help them reach their greatest potential. I cannot express how much I appreciate this business.

Starmakers Dance Company is an amazing studio. The staff not only teaches dance technique, they help prepare the dancers for life. The studio is always fun, always challenging, and always helpful. The self esteem, confidence, and teamwork SMDC inspired in my daughter will be with her the rest of her life. My daughter danced there for 8 years on competitive teams and now teaches a class. She was able to secure a $3000 a year scholarship for college based on her dance ability. In my opinion, you could not find a better dance studio.

A very busy little dance studio with a very successful competitive dance team. They offer clog, Irish dance, tap, ballet, hip hop, tumbling, etc. My daughter loves it and her teachers.
