I have been going to Instyle since I moved to Arlington in 2004, and my brother now goes there, as well. The shop is owned by a barber in his early 30s who has been cutting hair since his teens, I believe. His brother also cuts hair at the shop, and there are a few other barbers, as well. The shops customers are amazingly loyal. I generally get there early on Saturday, and I often see a group of five or six guys waiting for the shop to open in the morning. Just from observing banter between customers and the barbers, I can tell that many of the customers have been frequenting the shop for years. Many customers wait an hour or more just to get their hair cut by their favored barber. Haircuts are moderately priced (I think a basic is $17.00), and the location is convenient (right next to the Clarendon Metro). I should note that the shop was originally somewhere in Fairfax and only moved to Arlington in 2003 or 2004, I believe. My father-in-law was a customer at the Fairfax shop, and he now travels to Arlington because he likes how one of the barbers at Instyle cuts his hair. (The fact that my father-in-law was a customer prior to me visiting the shop for the first time was complete coincidence; I started going to the shop before I started dating his daughter.)

i relocated here and looked around. based on a recommendation, that mentioned hassan by name, i tried it out. he does a great job, consistently so. i have really thick hair, so someone has to know what theyre doing to make it lay down. its really affordable, too. at first, i noticed most guys there were getting their hair buzzed, but i dont. hassan did a great job. my only complaint, and its hardly a complaint, is that hassan wants to feed business to his other barbers. i told him i saw the same woman, through three different shops in chicago, for 15 years. so, i resist going to anyone else. doesnt mean they arent good, though.

*really a 2.5*Lied about having experience cutting black ppl hair, tapered my hair waaay closer than I requested (couldve gotten at least a 3.5 if that werent the case), and made slightly offensive comments (though Ill chalk it up to not knowing any better). The only reason its not a 1 is because the cut isnt awful, just not what I asked for.

Looking for a regular 15 $ cut, this is a good option..But if you are looking for a hair stylist or a professional this is not the place to go.The attitude is casual and not professional.If they have a line they might just do you in 5 minutes!No quality.Place is clean and well kept.Cost is low.

Pretty good barber shop. The barbers here, depending on the one you get, cut your hair fairly well to really good. Only about half of them speak perfect English, but I am not looking for a conversation when I get my haircut. Very professional and I will continue to go back.

I have been getting my hair cut by Hasan for over 20 years now. I currently drive an hour each direction and its worth it. There is a reason the shop is always packed with customers. Good quality haircuts at a great price for what you get. Strongly recommended.

Very good haircut in Arlington. Very popular which generates a wait but if you have time, definitely set aside some here. Price is comparable as well to the area. Not overly expensive
