This is the most unorganized dance center we have attended. The studio is tiny and parking is a headache. We were told to arrive at 630 for rehearsal at 9:15 pm my 6 year old child still had not rehearsed and we were told it was still 4 acts in front of us so we left due to the disorganization . The owner called the day before the recital and informed us were kicked out the recital along with three other students . My six year old was devastated and no matter what my husband and I said to Ms. Barbara she would not bend she was unapologetic and wouldnt even return money for my family members that purchased tickets. This should have been about the children who practiced since September for this recital and their hard work went to waste.

My granddaughter has been with Chesapeake Dance for only a year and a half. It has been an amazing experience for her and she has grown so much in dance. She has been dancing since age 2 and since she has been with Chesapeake Dance we have really seen her progress. Miss Barbara does an amazing job with students pulling out the best in all of them. She is willing to work with you as far as scheduling to try and find classes and times that will work for you. Her recitals are beautifully done, fun and run in such a timely manner. It is a pure joy to watch her students perform and to see the joy of dance and their accomplishments on their faces. I would highly recommend this studio.

One of my daughters has been at Chesapeake dance center for over 7 years and my other just started. Both of my girls love it there! All of the teachers are amazing and the director/owner is wonderful. The recitals are gorgeous at the roper theater too. Absolutely love it here!

Cancelled class 2 days before started. Offered to switch us with one free trial class. My kids did not like it. Waited almost 2 months for refund which I only got less than half back. Which I only got that after calling my credit card company to dispute charges.

THE best dance studio ever!!! Barbara is top notch and an expert in her field -- wonderful with teaching kids and adults, with choreography thats fun and challenging! If youre looking for a place to call home regarding dance, this is your place!
