Being a working mom is hard! Finding people to leave you children with is even harder! We decided to leave an in-home daycare and look into some of the local centers in the area. I received two recommendations for Creative Childcare from people I commute with. From the first phone call, to my tour of the facility, and the days up to my girls starting, I knew I had made the right decision. I have one child in the school age room and another in the toddlers. My 8 year old loves it there! She started with the summer camp, which was filled with fun activities every day of the week, and now does the aftercare program during the school year. The teacher in that classroom is awesome. The amount of time they spend on art projects and creative things is amazing! My daughter absolutely loves everything they do there and I am floored by the projects and activities they have! In fact, she was sad we went to the beach during the summer because she missed a week of camp. That definitely has to mean something! My youngest daughter started off in the infant room. The teacher at the time was wonderful. I could tell how much she loved my daughter and how much pride she took in making sure my daughter was happy. My daughter is now in the toddler side and we love that! She is not walking yet, but they work with her every day to practice. The children do the cutest art projects and I am excited every evening to go in the room and see what they have done. The teachers are amazing and I can see how much they love my daughter and I enjoy talking with them every evening and finding out how the day went for her. The daycare director is so sweet! She is always there to answer any of my questions or my concerns. She truly cares that not only your children are happy, but the parents are happy too. I enjoy seeing her every evening when I pick my girls up! The owners are kind and always welcome you with a smile. Its truly a great place and they all work hard at what they do. They provide exceptional care and love for each child. I am so glad I found this place and feel more like it’s a family and not just a daycare! Each day I know my girls are safe and happy and thats what matters the most to me!

Tidewater Trail location is horrible. Creative Childcare has multiple locations. Our children attended Creative Childcare for almost 2 years at the Tidewater Trail location. It was a wonderful, loving place for children up until April 2011 when the director was pushed out. Then everything changed. It was then a unhealthy and dangerous place for the children. It was very hot in the building, the excuse we received was the A/C was broken and they are working on it (for 1 plus month?). The quantity of the food they were serving to the children after the director left was cut way back. In the mornings many time there were 15 or more children ages 2 and up in one room with one adult. After we left (and we gave 2 weeks notices as requested) we received a phone call shaking us down for more money. When we questioned it, the women could not explain. She was told by the owner to call us. We paid every two weeks and it was always two weeks in advance. We did not owe anything. I had receipts to back it up. We actually had to leave the day care sooner and loose a entire week payment because of the heat, fumes and a sticky floor from the floor being waxed the night before. The last day there was a parents worse nightmare, as I had to scramble and get childcare sooner then planned. This is now a horrible and unsafe place for your children. What used to be a caring compasionate place has turned into just another business were its all about the money. What a shame. Beware!

CHECK their record with the county. There are repetitive violations. FIVE years ago I yanked my infant daughter out of their care when my husband picked the kids up from school and walked in to the infant room to an underdressed obese woman sweating profusely ON TO MY DAUGHTERS FACE while she lie there having her diaper changed. The back door was WIDE open, and the flies in there were ridiculous. FIVE years later and today I get an INVOICE from these idiots trying to collect two weeks care! Like the other poster noted- you pay up front. Im not paying these FILTHY underqualified pigs to drip sweat and fly goop on my children.

We checked multiple Day cares and this one was the only one that had no problems letting us tour the facility on the fly (the other ones asked for us to set up appointments which raised red flags). We have been using the Harrison Crossing location now for 2 years and it is wonderful. The teachers are attentive and loving. The staff is kind and lets us know ANYTIME something happens that we should know about (for example anytime a child is hurt for any reason they call to let us know). The facilities are clean and we have had 0 issues. Super glad we chose them.

I had a HORRIBLE experience with this facility. The owners are both just as crooked as the director. My son had multiple issues saying the teacher hit him I was promised access to the cameras which I found out at that time do not work. I finally walked in and saw a teacher restraining my son when I brought this to the attention of the director my son was kicked out. They are never in ratio, teacher and director are unqualified. If you have a credit on your account they are quick to find a reason to take it away. all together a HORRIBLE place for children..

The facility is run down, the teachers dont seem to want to interact with the kids at all, kids just run wild while the teacher cleans. Child was unhappy, kids out of control. Yuck.
