When a business posts an opening time of 9 a.m., its not unreasonable to expect them to open at 9 or shortly thereafter. When a potential customer calls at 9.30 and is told "I had to run an errand, Ill be there in 15 minutes," its not unreasonable for that potential customer to expect the proprietor to show up at 9.45. When the proprietor still hasnt arrived at 10, its not unreasonable for the potential customer to look for another place to take his business. Being on time is important, and while a small one-man shop can enjoy a little flexibility from time to time, Saturday - when most people are trying to get everything done as quickly and efficiently as possible - isnt the day to fudge your start time or be inaccurate on the phone with a potential customer. This past Saturday, however, was precisely the day that Scotts Barber Shop lost a potential customer, one who was more than happy to take his business around the corner to a shop that opened on time. Upon arrival, I noticed that I wasnt the only customer Scott lost that day, as I recognized two other vehicles from Scotts parking lot.

Scott is the only person who can cut my hair. Period. I dont have an easy cut, yet I come out looking neat and professional every time. I manage a lot of people internationally, and am never embarrassed of my look. Dude, knows hair. Ive seen him shift gears from an adult high and tight to a crying 3 year olds cut with good humor. (The kids love him, though I have no idea why... I guess its cuz hes a clown.) Give the place a shot, if you havent been there. Its rare to find someone who knows hair and makes it fast and easy. This is primarily a MANS barbershop, no BS, rude talk, and a TON of laughs, but everyones welcome. Its a fun place. Scotts mouth is as big as his talent. (Seriously, he talks a lot!) And he really is that talented. Rumor is that he also has a mobile service for Seniors or disabled people in his spare time, but dont quote me, ask him.

I had come in just once before to Scotts Barber Shop. I tried it out because it was convenient and close to my home. I got a beard trim and haircut and it turned out great. Very good price for the quality. I had to go out of town about a month later and I called the shop number and spoke to Scott. I explained to him how important it was that i got a haircut and beard trim.I also told him that i wouldnt be able to get there until about 5:15 that day, 15 minutes after they close. He told me that he would stay open just for me. That is the kind of customer service that you just cant get anymore. His service and quality haircuts he gives will keep customers coming back for a long time. I would recommend him to anyone.

In town for training for my job. Was looking for a barber in the area. I chose Scotts Barber Shop based on some good reviews. He did a great job on my high and tight. I highly reccomend Scotts Barber Shop for a nice clean hair cut!! If im in the area again and need a hair cut, I will go back!

I went to Scott about six weeks ago while visiting the Mechanicsville area. I usually go to a salon and really took a chance visiting a barber. The cut came out quite well and Ive gotten many complements as my hair grows out. I wouldnt hesitate to have Scott cut my hair again.

Scotts barber shop was a quick and convenient place to get a cut. My haircut looked looked great. He was very friendly but could probably clean up the place and give a better appeal when you walk in. Id go back again for sure.

Best Barber Shop in town, not only does Scott provide excellent hair cuts but also a relaxed atmosphere compared to other "Main Stream" barber shops. As long as Scott is still cutting hair I will be getting my Haircut here.
