If youre in a big hurry or need service today then you might want to go into Cville. However, if you want to establish a relationship with people that will do what needs to be done for a fair price then these are your people. I cant count the number of times that havent charged me for small things. One time my bill was $100 less than the estimate and they said it was because the mechanic finished faster than the estimated time. Tell me how many shops you will see that happen in. I still occasionally get something done in town because I am in a hurry but I bring my business to this local family run place as often as I can.

We had our three vehicles inspected here after moving into the area from PA. All required work was performed quickly, and for what I feel was reasonable cost. The estimates for work were detailed listing all parts needed and their respective costs. I typically do a little research on the parts list when I have work done, since parts are an area where bad shops will gouge you. Im happy to report the markup on the parts was reasonable and around what I expected it would be (probably totaling 15 bucks over what youd get them for from the web or your neighborhood parts store). Overall a good experience.

Honest folks. Fair prices. Never had any problems. They are able to tackle tough jobs - such as devising a solution when a captive welded nut located inside the chassis failed. They also accommodate when you are in a pinch - such as when I needed a re-inspection done the same day and it was already after 4 PM. For the best experience, make an appointment in advance and leave your car there first thing in the morning if possible. Theyll call when it is ready.

The staff is nice but the service is very very slow. It took them 5 days to finish a job that that they originally quoted me two days for, with no added work. It also seems that the auto parts places in Charlottesville only deliver to them once a day, so a job that would take less than a day in Charlottesville takes 1-2 days here.Good staff and they are friendly, but the mechanics are god awful slow..
