I had several vendors for my 8.19.16 wedding in Yorktown, this was the vendor that made me cry. They delivered the wrong chairs and tried to convince me those were the chairs I ordered, even though i knew they were not the chairs i choose. I went to their show room with a couple members of my wedding party about four (4) months prior to my wedding and they also confirmed, we never asked for the chairs HRER delivered. I gave the manager detailed account of what happened and he didnt care, nor did he ever offer apology. The only way he could help me is if i paid 300xs what i was quoted on the chair. On the day of my wedding, with 4 hours to spare, that was not and option. I was distraught because the chairs ruined the ambiance of my reception! I will never use them again. I do not reccomend this company as they dont care to stand by what they say when taking your money. The customer service was terrible! There are other similar customer experiences on yelp under the sister company name- ABZ rental. Do not use this company.

I incurred additional costs for my daughters wedding because a third of the dinner plates received and half the racks for drink glasses had to be washed before they could be used. I will accept some responsibility because the person who checked the items in only did counts and didnt check for cleanliness. You would think this would not be an issue. If I sent them back without being rinsed I would have been charged. Its stated on the contract any issues must be reported upon check in and we did not find out until later in the reception. We have worked with Hampton Roads Event Rentals for the past five years on multiple events throughout Newport News and Yorktown. Ashley and the staff at HRER are always friendly and prompt during the pre-event planning. Pricing is reasonable and their inventory is diverse. Their showroom is well organized and easy to navigate, and our clients leave feeling confident that they have picked out exactly what they want for their special day. Items are delivered on time, clean, and in good condition. Their setup staff are very respectful of the site and efficient, and all of their employees are helpful.

Hampton Roads Event Rentals have helped me with all of my birthday parties ever since I was a kid. My friends would always be excited when my birthday came around so they would be able to see all of the amazing things we had rented! We always get their tables, chairs, linens, and consessions like Cotton Candy Machines, Popcorn Machines, Ect. I have always been super pleased with their customer service and their equipment!!! I will definitely be going back to them for any other party needs :)

Rented 8 chairs and one table for my event . The chairs I received were damaged and completely unacceptable . I spoke with Tim to address my concerns and he was completely rude and dismissive. I asked to speak with another manager and Tim informed me that he already spoke with his manager about the issue and he did not wish to address the issue with me further . I am a professional event coordinator and I would never in my life speak to a customer like that .
