My husband and I hired Phinney Ridge Painting (PRP) Company in June to paint our house. We knew that they would do an above average job and that they guaranteed their work. What we did not know is how amazing they would be in responding to the crisis we faced when, while painting, they discovered major structural damage involving a thirty foot wide wood beam that held up an outdoor deck over an interior portion of our home. Upon learning of the damage, PRP immediately put us in touch with contractors who specialized in this type of work. PRP has developed strong working relationships with many of these contractors over the years so the contractors had an incentive to work with PRP customers. Harjo Construction did all of the construction and structural work. The structural work was major and involved the logistics of moving an 800 pound steel beam through a very tight space which eventually replaced the rotted wood beam. Because everything was connected, the entire deck had to be replaced and that work spanned a four month time period. Phinney Ridge Painting and Harjo Construction were exceptional in their communication skills, creativity, flexibility in responding to ever changing conditions, and dedication to a quality of work that is outstanding. We would add that Harjo Construction agreed to take on this difficult project even though they already had a full summer workload with their existing projects. We are so pleased with Phinney Ridge Painting and Harjo Construction that we plan to use them for all of our upcoming projects. We recommend them unconditionally.

When we decided to have our house repainted we knew it would be a big deal. The house was built in 1921 and the original paint was lead based and badly peeling. We contacted four companies for estimates and consultations, only three replied. We chose Phinney Ridge Painting LLC (they were the middle of the bidding range) because Nik (the owner and estimator) spent time to describe to us how the work would be done and why the lead paint had to be completely stripped from the house. Along with having the house painted, we were also having our old rotted deck replaced and four windows replaced too. This created a scheduling issue for getting all the work done during the three months of summer and into early autumn. Phinney Ridge Painting [PRP] worked very well in conjunction with our other contractor to complete the work in the timeframe we had allotted. The crews from PRP who did the stripping, priming and painting always arrived early and worked all day. When we greeted them at the house we were always told that we should announce if we had any issues, concerns or questions about the work being done. At the end of each day the crew cleaned up the areas around the house and folded up their drop-cloths. All the work was done to our satisfaction and the house looks wonderful now. We recommend that you consider PRP for your exterior painting needs rather than choosing a lower bidder.
