Requested for a service and provided pictures. Event manager (Ana Nelson) said the design was complex and instead they could help put together alternatives since theyre so great. I still agreed to meet. I fell ill and requested for a reschedule. Project Manager responded with an email saying "We took the time to prepare a décor proposal for your big day – but it doesn’t seem as though you are very serious regarding our services. We feel we are not the right fit for each other at this time." and PJ Hummel replied to my response () "Lame, and goodbye". If a president of the company has such a disgusting spirit towards its consumers; I suspect if this company is going to be successful at all, in the long run. Clearly, the only other positive comment (apart from one other) is from 3 years ago, by an employee. I never received the so called proposal that they took so much time to prepare. Thank goodness it did not work out - they were going to overcharge me by over 2X. Anyways.. unless you want to work with event managers that treat you like theyre doing you a huge favor, dont bother.

Im a full time Industrial Designer for PJ Hummel & Co and I love it. Its a fun, exciting, and supportive place to work. PJ Hummel herself is a community activist and mentor to many young women and entrepreneurs. PJ Hummel & Co specializes in large scale and themed events, and our clients are never disappointed by our services. Take a look at our photos and I think youll see why we have such a great reputation in the event industry. I dont know what Hackensacks problem is. If you dont have the guts to attach your name to your opinion, I dont see the point in posting it.

PJ Hummel and Co. bends over backwards to create beautiful and personalized events. Their portfolio speaks for itself. Several of my friends have staffed events for PJ and have had positive experiences. The nature of the with requires lots of part-time employees, but the core staff had been there for years.
