Incredibly talented staff that truly cares for the children they teach. Goal of the studio is to balance having fun with the discipline of learning proper dance, and they are successful at both. The studio generally competes regionally twice a year, with the goal to win the overall Most Entertaining award, which they do on a consistent basis over most of the competing studios in the area. Most Entertaining is important because the numbers that win that award are the ones that are the most fun to watch and perform. It goes without saying that Desert Star Dancers win more than their fare share of Top Score awards as well. Be aware of the costuming at other studios. Desert Star is very concerned about their students modesty, and will never put them in inappropriate costumes or dances in order to score cheap points. Your daughter does not need to sacrifice their childhood for accomplishment. They can have both at Desert Star Dance.

My 11 year old daughter started at Desert Star Dance this summer with their "Sampler" that was a low cost way for her to go to a number of classes and figure out what she liked. She ended up signing up for Ballet and Lyrical. We have been very pleased with her experience at Desert Star Dance and look forward to them helping her learn more and get them most of her dance experience. Thank you Desert Star!

Their commitment to age-appropriate costumes, music and expectations was the critical deciding factor. I have seen great growth in her dancing ability as well as in her self-confidence. I have two daughters that have danced at Desert Star Dance for many years! Desert Star Dance is their home away from home. The instructors are passionate about what they do and inspire both of my girls to be and do the best they can. DSD has the best year end show in the valley, always entertaining and well organized. 5 stars all the way!!!

We have been dancing here for about 2 years. We tried out many studios before "settling" here. The staff is wonderful. My daughter has grown to love all the teachers. They are the perfect combination of fun and discipline. We have enrolled our 2nd child there and look forward to many years of dancing at Desert Star Dance.

My daughter loves Desert Star Dance, the instructors are fantastic and classes are on time and affordable. I recommend them to everyone and now lots of her friends go there too. The Hip Hop classes are great! I also had to switch classes due to my work schedule and they were more than accommodating.

I went to a wonderful show tonight. Their 10th anniversary. They are clearly doing things right! I went last year as well; they appear to continually grow their business by building relationships teaching kids about dance and more.... I am glad my niece attends.

Both my kids love dancing here. They look forward to their dance classes and speak wonders of the instructors. The recitals are an amazing production and I would recommend it to anyone interested in dance.
