I usually go here and am never disappointed with whoever I get when I walk in but I recently had the worst haircut experience Ive ever had here. I was asked to wait when I was the only soul in the joint beside the 5 ladies that were having a very in depth conversation about their daily gossip before I was finally served which I wish, in retrospect, hadnt happened. As I proceeded to sit in the chair after being introduced to my barber, she felt it necessary to inform me about how she hisses like a cat at people she finds annoying. At the time I didnt care much until she started being so distracted that she kept scratching my neck profusely with her clippers. As this continued she informed me about how she blacks out when shes angry and has even destroyed an elderly womans groceries due to a minor confrontation they had in line. Mind you, I am a very easy going person, so this random information wasnt bothering me too much, but it added an unnecessary 15 minutes of talk time to my haircut that I definitely did not need due to plans for the day. The worst part about this experience was when she got around to shaving my neck with a single blade razor. This would have been routine for me but I was left only in pain and many red marks on the back of my neck from both the razor and clippers (and random patches of hair) And for the final step, I was given an obscene amount of product in my hair that literally made my hair look like i had just done drywall work. Needless to say, I dont think I will be returning here anytime.

Ridiculous! This is the second time I have been to the Floyds 99 in Chandler. The first time is when I first moved to Phoenix over two years ago. Wasnt the best cut, and I had to go back and trim my beard myself. After reading that Floyds is rated one the best beard shops in Phoenix, I convinced myself to try them again. Mistake! After waiting about 45 (was told 20 - 30 minutes) to see John-Paul, he explained that he could not do a razor cut fade. I appreciate his honesty. This is about the only thing I appreciate about Floyds. John-Paul explained that another barber with experience would cut my hair. She was just finishing with another client. Oops. This wasnt correct. After about another 10 minutes I was told the person who could actually cut my hair was about to receive an appointment and it would be at least another 30 minutes. By this time is was after 5:30 PM on a Friday in Phoenix. Just in case anyone is wondering you are not going to walk into a barber after 5:30 PM on a Friday in Phoenix and get a haircut. I do not recommend Floyds. It is a glorified stylist joint that they have hung up rockn roll pictures to make it like a bad-boy joint. Not worth the price. I wont be fooled again.

okay, now my hair is EVERYTHING to me. I originally went to just get bangs, but i thought why not just a couple layers added. The lady with the boy short hair did my hair cut and said she was ONLY going to cut 4 inches off the length of my hair WHICH WAS ALMOST TO MY BUTT, but i was okay with just 4 INCHES, after I got up I was shocked she didnt do what she said and showed me, she cut off like 10 INCHES almost a foot of my HAIR!! YOURE SUPPOSED TO DO WHAT YOU TELL THE CUSTOMER YOUR GOING TO DO NOT WHAT YOU "THINK" THE CUSTOMER NEEDS. IF she would have told me she was going to cut that much hair I WOULD HAVE NOT let her cut it and just got my bangs done. I wont accept her to touch my hair AGAIN but I will still come to this place because my family get their hair done here and staff is friendly. This is was just the worse experience for me.

Really did like this place, I got an undercut and the girl was very nice and talkative price was $8. Drove from east Mesa to there because I thought they were cheap and did a good job, I showed the guy 2 designs and said either of these and he said okay, he didnt say one word the whole time he was cutting my hair, I get done and look at my hair and it looks nothing like either of the pictures I showed him. Its very weird looking and unappealing and the price was $17. They were rude when confronted about the price. Im very disappointed and embarrassed about my hair. Waste of time, gas, and money.

Cool barber shop with a mix of male and female stylists. The walls look like a college dorm room covered in music posters. For $23 I cant seem to get a consistent hair cut here however. Some times its great, but the last time I wasnt paying attention and the barber didnt cut the hair on one side of my head so I had to go home and finish it myself. For the price you do get a straight razor neck shave at least.

Ive been getting my haircut here for the past couple years. I enjoy the hip atmosphere and staff that is passionate about their craft. Floyds isnt an expensive hair cut by any means but it isnt a bargain shop either. You will pay a little bit more for Floyds stylists over going to a Supercuts or cost cuts but you will have a quality cut that you always feel happy leaving with.

Ive gone here multiple times over the past 4 months or so and have consistently had some of the best haircuts that Ive had. The staff and barbers are all very friendly and I havent had just an okay nor a bad experience at all. The price is fair ($22 for a regular cut) and the service offered has been top-notch.

The staff is very friendly and the place has a cool atmosphere. The walls are clad with music posters. A good mix of barbers and stylists. Havent had a bad cut yet. Stay away if youre looking for a cheap haircut, but remember that you get what you pay for. The 30-minute call-ahead service is very convenient.

First, the vibe is amazing. I love all of the people there! Second, everyone that works there are incredibly talented. Third, why wouldnt you want to get your hair cut at a rock n roll barbershop? Cuts are 22, first time shampoo is FREE. They are a one stop shop, cuts, color, beards and waxing!

Usually receive a good haircut from here but every time I get this one specific girl I get an awful cut. The first time I came back and got it fixed but this time my hair is unpresentable. I am just in shock that she cut my hair so awfully. She is a kind girl but wow. Just wow.

Friendly and unique staff. Ive been going to Sheila for years now and its like going to see a friend. They care about your needs and never give any ego but will tell you if that idea youre bringing will work for your hair type or not and may suggest a cool alternative.

My girlfriend and I went in for the first time today for a haircut. We both had great experiences. Our barbers were both skilled and friendly, leaving us with quality cuts for a great price! We will definitely be going to Floyds Barbershop fromantic now on!
