I told the worker how I wanted my hair cut, because the last time I went there I did so and paid my 12$ and had a great cut. This time the worker pushed back and insisted on her way, after her trying to explain how shes had years in the business I agreed. Got a cut that looked pretty similar to the one I recived before. No complaints. BUT then she charged me 15$ for the cut and said "its 15 because I gave you the nicer style cut" total BS because I didnt ask for it! I wouldnt doubt if she just pocketed the extra $3. Thats the last gear heads will be seeing me. Good cut but I dont appreciate being ripped off.

I went there about 5 times, enjoyed the concept so i kept going back. But i consistently got passed up for random people that came in after me and i always seemed to get sub-par cuts. Almost always had to trim up myself after. Also, a beard trim NEVER means "cut it off". Theres been kids running around and barbers just sitting around with several customers waiting. I walked out because im tired of being treated like an expendable customer. They succeeded in losing my business.

Gearhead hits all the marks on what a great business should be. I moved to Chico from the SF Bay Area in May 16 and have been coming to Gearhead about once a months since and could not be happier. Fast service, great atmosphere and music, and solid haircuts. Haircuts have never been that important to me, but that changed since I found Gearhead. I always walk out of here with a clean and quality cut by real professionals who know what they are doing. A+

This place was unprofessional and it was my first time there and they didnt even say hi when i walked in...i took my son there to get a haircut...the girl mel there was awesome even though she took a long time cutting his hair...last time i go there....and prices are high for a haircut which it wasnt a bald fade...12 dollars for a regular and she charged me 15...wasnt happy with this place

Accept Walk-ins! Offer water or beer while youre waiting for your turn. Great prices. I would give 5 stars but only 2 barbers actually work here. So if you want anything with a straight razor you need to call ahead. Of that both barbers were extremely knowledgeable and did great work. Even suggesting alternative ideas because my flow with the style I wanted

I came in right before 6 and they took care of me. When i came in i didnt know what i wanted and they gave me options based on what they think i would look good with. The people were very knowledgeable. By far the best experience i have had getting my hair cut in my life. Im already recommending this place to all my friends.

No very pleased with how this visit turned out. The lady barley said anything to us and didnt look pleased herself. Didnt have any suggestions to try to help us pick out what we were trying for, We ended up doing a fade and ended up with a shaved head which i didnt want for him. Plus it doesnt look like a fade.

Went in there and got exactly what i asked for. The dude cutting my hair was even nice enough to go back over it with a 1/8 after going over with a 1/4. Lined up the sides perfectly, tapered the back just how i wanted it, and still only charged me 9$! Definitely a return customer!

Ive had my hair cut here three times now and every time is a great experience. The room, atmosphere and music is great and the people are all friendly. Walk in, have a drink, and get trimmed up by any of the wonderfully talented barbers they have!
