I called several companies in November to get an estimate for a backup generator for my home. I had to call two of the three companies back to find out if they were still interested in giving me a bid because I hadnt received anything, not even a phone call, for two weeks. I didnt bother to call the third company because I was disgusted. This wasnt the first job I had put out to bid on my home in Magalia. I had some concrete flat-work and some fencing installed. Both done poorly. The contractors up here seem to do piss-poor work, dont want to pull a permit when required by law, or dont bother to even call back for a bid. I dont know why anyone would give these critters breeding rights, but maybe it was a mistake. Im used to dealing with contractors in the Bay Area who understand quality, commitment and working for a living. But, I digress. I finally called Peter Gal of Goodman Services. I should have called him first and saved myself a bunch of aggravation and frustration. Peter quickly gave me a reasonable bid with a reasonable timeline for completion. He prepped the area set for the generator, pulled and posted the proper permit, completed the install in a timely manner with quality workmanship and without delays or excuses, and educated me on the use and care of the generator and Automatic Transfer Switch. Nice job Peter. Very well done. I called Peter back for another job, a small one, in my garage. He returned my call quickly, scheduled the job for a couple of days later, found the problem and fixed it without delay. Thank you, Peter!

Peter was a grea help to us when installing a backup generator. Even the manufacturers were no help directing us but Goodman services came through with a good price and fast service. Good thing too, as we have needed it several times already. Following that, we had them in for a general shop wiring and RV storage project which they completed in a very short time and on budget. A relative who is an electrician before retiring was admiring the craftsmanship and installation. That says a lot to me. Goodman Services is the only Electrical Company I call now.

1. I’ve used the kind folks over at Goodman Services for years upon years – for everything from generators to HVAC units. The reason I keep going back to peter is that he is consistently able to provide the best customer service and the best prices in town. Goodman Services is quick and reliable and Peter knows equipment manufacturers products and how to repair them. Any problems with warranty or service call Peter. I had a generator problem and the other service company just $#@$%^& me over, thats when I called Goodman Services and Peter was informative and helpful and had my new generator up and running with no hassle.
