Frustrating day! Made an appointment yesterday for 9:00 appointment today. Arrived today and 8:59 and waited in service line for 20 to 25 minutes. When at the counter Freddie said we were late for our appointment!! At first I thought he was joking but than found myself having to give him details of how we were waiting outside for them to unlock the door and how we were in line waiting for service so which made me feel we had to defend ourselves!! No apology from him for the wait (although the other service person apologized to us while we were waiting). Our appointment was for a Managers special which was oil change, tire rotation and 20 point check. He just wrote Oil Change on the paperwork. He said it would take about an hour. We left and then came back. Car was on the rack but they were hovering around it because they broke off 2 lug nuts. They said whomever worked on the car last cross threaded which caused the breakage, but they were the ones who worked on it last which was March of last year!! They charged me for parts but waived the labor which I wasnt too happy about but agreed to. Then 2 more hours later Freddie called saying the axle was broken and that we needed a new axle (he had also said we needed new front brakes). That is when I told him that every time I bring my car to them there is always something additionally wrong that needs to be taken care of and I get charged more and more! I can take my car to my other mechanic (who is not open on Sunday unfortunately) and he will look the car over and suggest what may need to be taken care of, but I get quick reliable service. When the car was eventually ready, Freddie said they would comp the axle and labor which I appreciate, but when I picked up the car and the guy asked how my day was I did let him know that from the get go it was not a good experience and this is why I usually do not go to Pep Boys anymore. The mechanic Mason came out to explain the situation with the axel which I appreciate, but I am still just kicking myself for taking my car there in the first place!! They were short handed, but wouldnt their policy of making appointments the day before let them know they need more mechanics on deck? Otherwise what is the point of making an appointment? I know Pep Boys has been under investigation before. Maybe someone needs to check this place out.

I called the store in advance to make sure that I could get my truck serviced and not have to wait. Jose informed me that it would not be a problem and to bring it in. I literally got there in under 20 minutes, yet upon my arrival, Jose told me that his technicians were going to lunch and it would be an hour before they would begin servicing my vehicle. To say the least, I was not happy since he had just told me that it would not be a problem to get my truck immediately serviced. All Jose had to do was tell me about the wait and I would have brought my truck in another day or time. Or perhaps he should have done a more thorough job checking with the technicians. I will not be going back to the Pep Boys in Fontana again with this kind of poor customer service. And I will definitely be sharing my experience with others and suggesting that they not go to Pep Boys in Fontana.

I traveled from AZ to CA when I got to my destination my hubby and I noticed water leaking from the bottom of the car. When he diagnosed my car we scheduled a tow truck to take it to get repairs, my 1st choice of course was the dealer but bcuz it was late on Friday, I had no choice but Pep Boys. Long story short it was taken to P.B. in Fontana, they kept it over the weekend and by Monday afternoon I was heading back home. I was so lucky to have had a professional technician work on my car. Its now been close to 2 months that the work was done and its running prefect! Thanks Pep Boys!

I got a flat tire at 7pm, AND the temporary blew less than mile after putting it on. I have work tomorrow and no time to replace the tire and my job relies on my car. AAA towed us to this pepboys and arrived last minute only to see Josue, assistant service manager come out and fill out our forms to get our tires replaced tonight! Jose replaced both our tires and they took care of us tonight and helped us out hugely when other places just ignored the phone. Thank you guys, we will be back here for whatever we need done and pass the word about.

I called on Wednesday to see how much it would cost to get my car checked out because the check engine light is on and they told me it would be 44.99 to check it out and that that would go towards any work that I had done. I called today (Saturday) to see if I can make an appointment and they said that the price has changed. Its now 89.99 to get my car checked out and that will not be towards any work that I have done. Who the hell has 90 dollars to ONLY get their car checked out?????

I had a horrible experience.. I went into the store simply asking for spark plugs for my 04 cavalier. Instead of being helped, the guy tells me that my "cables & wires are messed up"and that I needed to bring in my car. He would not show me the sparkplugs I asked for, but only gave detail to how my car needed to be serviced. I left in the middle of conversation because my car does not use any sparkplug cables. He didnt even know!

Had to make an emergency repair to my car, so I pulled over and found this pepboys. I walked in and immediately was greeted by Rochelle. Im sure she could see it in my face that I needed help. She was so professional and gave me exactly what I needed. I will definitely come back to this pepboys for other needs solely based on customer service.

They mest up my hood and didnt want to pay for it. They changed my battery and the side that the battery was on was lifted about 2inches. After a couple of months of calling back and forth. I finally called corporate and they still didnt want to pay for it. They said I couldnt prove it was them who mest it up.

I bought 3 tires from them a few months ago i got a flat on one of the new ones & when i went to get the flat checked out they didnt want to even take a look at it! I asked to get an appointment & he refused stating they were way too busy, & to take it to another Pep Boys. Very disappointing

I took my car in for a new clutch back in January and they did an excellent job. I got my car back the next day and I saved a lot of money compared to what the dealer and other shops wanted to charge me. My car has ran great since I got it back and Im happy as can be with their service.
