Prepare to get price gouged if you own a diesel car. I came here hoping to get a quick oil change for my VW Jetta TDI. I already purchased the oil and filter from the auto store as I prefer to use Mobile 1 Turbo Diesel Full synthetic. When I arrived I asked the guy how much an oil change would be if I brought my own oil and filter. He replied $34.99 which was the same price as their standard oil change where they supply the oil and filter. Thinking he didnt understand me, I repeated that I was providing the supplies and he repeated the same price. I asked why it was the same price as their normal oil change and he said "because its a diesel and our normal oil change price is $79.99 for a diesel". That price seems more appropriate for a truck as many of the diesel trucks take as much as 16 quarts of oil but my jetta takes just 4.5 quarts of oil and I am bring the oil and filter! So you are giving me a discount because I brought my own supplies but you are basing that discount on the engine type that has nothing to do with the complexity of changing the oil. To the guy changing the oil, it makes no difference what engine type it is. Ive changed the oil many times in this car before and I know the level of effort is no different than any gas car but they were purposefully using the excuse "its a diesel" to jack up their price. I would have expected a discounted price based off of the normal $34.99 they charge for cars where they supply the oil and filter, not a discounted price off of a diesel truck price. Even though the price itself wasnt half bad, the fact that they would charge more to change the oil on a diesel car when it takes no more effort then a gas car shows they are taking advantage of people who might not know what is going on. I chose to take my business elsewhere. Rather than to argue with the guy, I left and wrote this review instead.
