First school is the BEST preschool in the desert! If you are looking for a safe, fun and educational environment for your child, this is the place. We have been attending First School, La Quinta for 5 years now. Both of my children have attended and absolutely love it. My son, who is now 8 years old had an incredibly positive experience. He still loves to go back and say “hello” (while acting cool of course), to his past teachers. ;) My daughter is 4yrs old and currently enrolled as a student. Upon arrival, every morning, she can’t wait to jump out of the car and give Ms. Rae a hug! Ms. Rae is the Office Manager and she has been there since we started, back in 2011. I have watched Ms. Rae grow her career with First School. There is something to be said about going to a Preschool for 5 years and seeing the same welcoming faces. Ms. Rae is incredibly organized, professional and caring. She consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, integrity & passion for her job. We couldn’t have asked for a better teacher, Ms. Maria. She has an amazing outlook, is patient with her class and a fantastic teacher. Ms. Maria always keeps us abreast of upcoming events, provides a detailed report daily on behavior, what the children learned and are currently working on in class, behavior if she ate all her lunch, and even if she took a nap which I appreciate! My daughter can’t wait to give Ms. Maria a hug every morning and she reiterates how “I don’t do her hair as good as Ms. Maria does” – which I think is so cute. :) She has learned both songs and words in English and Spanish, colors, letters, shapes, counting by 10’s and 20’s – I attribute all of that to Ms. Maria. They have a high quality academic and developmental curriculum. At the end of each day, my daughter looks forward to seeing Ms. Nicole at the office and giving her a big hug. Ms. Nicole always seems to have memorized which classroom the kids are in, end of day. (end of day, kids rotate from their primary classroom to keep them active and engaged). There isn’t one day I haven’t seen a welcoming smile on Ms. Nicole’s face. She understands the business, is organized and incredibly professional. You will also love the Family night outs, Graduation Program, Christmas Performances, etc.. offered at First School. They also make very cute keepsakes over the holidays, year round! First School Management, please take a moment to recognize Ms. Rae, Ms. Maria and Ms. Nicole to ensure they know that their efforts, consistently going above and beyond do not go unnoticed. You have put together a great team of employees that makes your customers feel respected and valued. Your staff at the La Quinta location is always incredibly attentive, patient and helpful. My sons first year at First School was absolutely amazing! We love Miss Maria and Miss Rae in the front office! All the teachers are great! So naturally we were excited to start his next year, but not so excited for him to move up. We loved his teachers so much and couldn’t imagine anyone being as amazing as Miss Rosa and Miss Nicole. Then we met Miss Cindy!!! She is wonderful with the kids. She teaches the kids discipline as well as the splendid curriculum that First School has set. She rotates the kids through line leader, and class helper as well as a few other jobs. My son is so excited when he is in charge of something. He has such a sense of pride when he comes home at the end of the day. He is excited to see Miss Cindy’s smiling face every morning, he adores so much that he runs up to her every morning with a big hug (and to be honest there are a few times I thought he was just going to tackle her). She has also implemented homework for the kids, and my son enjoys doing it. Each week they get a new letter, the kids need to cut out a picture of something that starts with that letter (B for banana). It is wonderful to see my son go through the newspaper and look for things that start with the letter of the week. He is not just satisfied cutting out one item… there are several times he has turned in many cut outs! This year she has taught him to go from tracing his name, to writing it on his own, and spelling it out. Today he even wrote mommy for me without me writing it for him! I am so proud of him, and the knowledge, discipline, and sense of pride he has learned from Miss Cindy. I could not imagine this year with any other teacher! Thank you, Miss Cindy, and First School for another amazing year, another amazing experience. We love all the activities that the school does for the kids. It is so amazing to be included in all the celebrations, family nights and holiday shows. It’s so amazing to see how much they have grown in the short time we have been there. I have recommended this school to several people…. And we cannot wait for them to get the same great experiences that my family has had!

We have been a part of the First School family for about a year. Our 2 year old is thriving in her classroom and is excited to see her friends and teachers on a daily basis. From a scheduling standpoint, we are extremely grateful that First School has a schedule that accommodates two, full-time working parents. We can be confident that our child is well taken care of while we are working. We are also extremely happy that we found a school that really tries to incorporate the family into the child’s school experience. From pizza night at Chuck E. Cheese to family day at the park, from Halloween parades to Christmas recitals, First School does a fantastic job at providing opportunities for the families to come together in support of their children. We are also appreciative of the team at First School. I am greeted with a ‘hello’ every morning and a ‘good night’ every evening, with an added ‘see you tomorrow’. It warms my heart when the front office staff acknowledge my child and engage her in conversation. My child has taken quite a liking to Ms. Nicole and looks for her every night to say goodbye. The school incorporates age appropriate curriculum and makes learning a fun and exciting experience for my child. As a parent, I can’t ask for much more than a safe environment where she is known and loved and provided with exciting and engaging learning opportunities. We are anxiously awaiting for the time when baby sister is old enough to join big sister at school. Thank you for caring!

This school was recommended to me. Having an only child I was really scared in choosing a mediocre school for her first preschool. Little did I know a year later I would be absolutely grateful for the education they have provided. Our daughter has exceeded academically, and has blossomed into a compassionate and interested little girl who loves her teacher, and the time she spends with her friends at school. The staff has provided the attention, and the education she deserves in such little time. Most importantly they provide security, knowing they are protected, and nurturing my child when I am away at work. From work I call the office whenever I feel the need in checking on my daughter, they transfer the call right through. We got very lucky with our Teacher Mrs. Kirsten who hears the phone ring and can almost bet it is me on the phone. My daughter asked if she could take her teacher to kindergarten. Kids dont lie about their feelings, she loves her teacher. I hope every parent has the opportunity we had in providing an education, and safe place away from home. Being a teacher is one of the hardest jobs, we dont thank you enough, the world needs more of you. Thank you Mrs. Kirsten for choosing a career that involves shaping the youth of our children.
