In spite of all the great reviews here and elsewhere, I was unimpressed with this place. I found it was very impersonal, and had the feeling of a "dance lesson factory." The rooms are very echoey, and the first teacher we had spoke very fast and I could not make out anything she said. I did not get the sense she was paying any attention to the students, just rattling off standard lesson plan. The next class I went to we had a different teacher who had no idea what where we were in the sequence. He was a little more engaged with the students, but he basically let me spend the entire class without a partner, which is really weird because usually in swing classes partners rotate so even if there is an odd number of people, you typically dont go more than one round without a partner. I hated this place so much I decided to just stop going, even though I had pre-paid for the class. Even though its a much longer drive, Im now going to classes with Rusty Frank in El Segundo, who is excellent. Many more students, yet much more personal attention and the group has a really nice sense of community. She and her co-instructor use mics so you can hear everything. Its much more professional, as well as more friendly and inviting.

This place isnt just a BALLROOM dance studio, it also has ballet, hip-hop, jazz, dance fitness and theyre all for ADULTS! No children or young teens in classes, so its very age appropriate! The salsa and bachata social dance scene is on FIRE here too... make no mistake, this studio has more going on than the name indicates. Highly recommended for beginners and intermediate dancers!!

This place is great! The instructors are great. They are both knowledgeable and gentle with teaching novices the key steps and moves of tango, ballroom, etc.

The bachata class with La Alemana was great! It had something for everyone, beginner to advanced. I will be back for sure
