My wife and I recently chose Joel and Company to help us remodel our home in West Hollywood. We had heard lots of horror stories about contractors so we talked with several companies, but selected Joel because we felt very comfortable with him from the start. He was within our budget, and had no problem modifying our plan and designs several times when we changed our minds or found something we wanted was too expensive. He was always very open and upfront about change orders and always keeps us in the loop during the construction. When construction started in December, Joel had crews in the house working every single day. They worked tirelessly 6 days a week and finished the project early. In the end, our home remodeling project come out exactly how we envisioned. We are so happy, not only with our new house, but also with how easy the whole remodeling process was. A general contractor that is experienced, professional and great to work with! Remodeling a kitchen is such a huge deal that we put it off for quite some time. If only we had known about Joel & Co. Construction we would have started years earlier! We love the final product and have to say that the experience was excellent. Joel & Co. Construction came in on budget and ahead of time!! These guys really know what they are doing! The planning was very thorough. We had a great exchange of ideas to finally come up with the design and materials we wanted and the end result proves it. I cannot say enough good things about Joel Portillo and his crew of craftsmen. I had a very old kitchen that was in serious need of a complete gut and overhaul. I called and made an appointment with Joel and he showed up exactly when he said he would, took the time to listen to what I needed done, and provided me with a very competitive and detailed estimate. Once the kitchen remodel construction started they made sure I knew what was going on each day. Joel was personally doing work himself a long side his construction crew. He walked us through every part of the process and was always available for questions. We felt like he and his team really did care and wanted to do their best work. After they were all finished we noticed something that we wanted adjusted and he immediately scheduled his painters to come back in order to be sure it was exactly as we wanted. Our Los Angeles house became pretty old and we all were very concerned about the maintenance and repair work for it. It’s not like that we had too many options but there were some people who helped us a lot. This is one of the few best companies that provide intelligent refurbishment service for kitchen, bathroom, dining room and the entire house for that matter. I contacted them over the phones and received an immediate response from them. I explained all what I wanted and they came for a visit. After everything was discussed and settled, they started working and it was finished in time. Everything was done accordingly and I would say that they have done a good job. However, it could be a little faster than what it took. Otherwise, I’m happy with the job and I recommend their work to others.
