Alejandra is the sweetest hair stylist I have ever met! I purchased a Groupon for a haircut and style. The salon is walking distance from our home, but there is plenty of parking in the back of the building if you were to drive there. Alejandra walked me through all of the products she was using for my hair and answered many questions I had about my hair. I have very straight and medium weight hair. She gave me several pointers on how to keep my hair healthy and to get regular trims (Im really bad at getting my hair trimmed on a consistent basis). I purchased a volumizer that she used in my hair and I absolutely LOVE it! She cut my hair and then styled it with "effortless beach waves" which I was shocked at how good it turned out! Again, I have SUPER straight hair, and I have no clue how she was able to get my hair to curl. My curl lasted over 10 hours, which is extremely rare for my hair type. I would highly recommend Alejandra and her salon to any of my coworkers and friends in the area. She is the BEST! :)

After many years of coming here I finally have stopped... I was scared because leaving a hairdresser can be scary, you know what I mean, right? Anyway, finally I had the last straw...after she continually complained, continually kept me waiting, ruined one of my favorite white shirts by dripping water and dye on my back then blaming me because I am too short for her sink, the last straw was: After losing 20+ lbs and (btw, keeping it off for almost 9 months now) she YELLED at me when she asked how I lost the weight. I used a more "extreme" method (not really, but to some) and she yelled "YOU WILL SO GAIN ALL YOUR WEIGHT BACK AND MORE"..."2 of my other clients did it and I bet they will as well", but she YELLED at me... So, that was it, I was done. I found an AMAZING hair stylest in Marina Del Rey that takes mroe time, is kind, is sweet, if fun and I LOVE my hair. SO...dont go here!!!!!!!!!!!

Exceptional Service! Ale is extremely professional. Your salon is so clean it looks like there has never been a single hair cut in the shop. Her follow-up is mostly done via text and she sends you 24 hour appointment reminders. I went in because I had about 10 cm regrowth that I needed to look more natural. After a few minutes consultation she knew exactly what I was looking for and jumped in. Her service is very one-on-one focused. So from the minute you walk in, you are her main concern. As for the amenities, she had beverage services like water teas and coffee and she has parking designated at the back of the salon. ***Please note, the style in the picture is not the style she gave me, I took this the next day because I had to run to another appointment, but you can see how natural my hair looks. You cant see 10cm of regrowth roots at all!***

Ive been coming to Alejandra for more than a year, my mom referred me (I know, what are the odds you and your mom can see the same person and be happy! Lets just say Alajendra is very versatile.) When I first came in I had recently tried to fix another stylists all over highlight, gone wrong at home... anyway you can imagine. Alajendra treated me well (in spite of my clear lack of judgement and poor decision making in the past), fixed the awkward color situation with highlights and has been doing wonders for the health of my hair ever since. She is a color specialist and it shows in her work. Thanks to Alejandra my blonde hair is happy and healthy once again!

Alejandra is just amazing, shes very professional and talented on what she does. I just moved to Manhattan Beach, didnt know where to get my hair done and my coworker referred me to see Ale. She did Balayage and a haircut I m obsessed with the results!! Besides that I love the atmosphere of her salon, Ale Colin Hair Studio is a Boutique salon , modern and classy, super welcoming and it is great to see that they keep it nice and very clean. I have naturally curly hair and Alejandra was very knowledgable and shared so much of her knowledge about hair during my visit.
