I wanted to serve notice that I have discovered a gem within Los Angeles County. I discovered Hair Elite on yelp. Loved the uploaded video-gave insight to the atmosphere. It lived up to its advertisement. When searching for a beautician it’s not just them BUT THE SHOP AS WELL! There was no hanging out in the front. There was no drugs or after smell of drugs. The music was appropriate and at a sufficient level. The stylist didn’t look like where they had been the night before. Hygiene was up to part. You know how hair dressers blow when pressing your hair. You rather had felt the heat. LOL. The entire time I was there not once did I hear anyone gossiping or yelling across the shop-VERY PROFESSIONAL quality. The stylist actually came over to the station “and VERY briefly” spoke! “Very unusual etiquette for any shop.” They were ALL present in uniform color- another professional quality about Hair Elite. I was continuously asked by different employees if I’d like various beverages or magazines. Which isn’t unusual for a shop BUT the fact it came from DIFFERENT stylist was insightful to the team effort, quality, atmosphere and professionalism “within” Hair Elite. Most shops/stylist/assistants are oohh that’s her or his client. I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Stevi. What “I evaluated” from that interaction: she is a Christian woman. She is humble and approachable. Her actions and non actions reflected appreciation, respect and consideration for others-not the morality that is always found within a owner period! My shampoo person was Brittany. Brittany was punctual; attentive- is the water to hot? Is your cape to tight around the neck? Is the dryer to hot? Am I scratching too hard? THANK YOU BRITTANY!! My stylist was Michelle. She too had professionalism about herself and I look forward to her servicing me. I am not a local of Hawthorne. I will admit, it was a true blessing to see such unity, professionalism and quality in African American females and best of all it was “in the neighborhood”. Today, I discovered proof you do not have to drive way across town “not to deal with the extras” you can simply go to Hair Elite. Guess the saying is right, a name truly has meaning.

I have been going to Hair Elite now for a year and my only regret is that I didnt find them years ago. The owners, Stevi and Michelle, are top notch professionals and they ensure their business is ran in the same manner. The salon is medium size with approx 7-8 stylist and a manicurist. There is never a long waiting period as they recognize your time is valuable. There is no double booking or stacking clients so you get individualized attention from whomever is doing your hair. The salon is, to say the least, a mature setting that a teen could feel comfortable as well as a senior. There is music that is business appropriate, soulful, and the conversation is respectful and not loud or "ghetto." While the atmosphere is mature the hair styles are ALL current and fitted to the person getting styled. I wear my hair short but I have seen hairstyles so pretty leaving that I had to rethink not letting my hair grow out. Oh, and they are relatively fast. Youre not there all damn day like at some places. They generally will start you within 10 mins of your appt time and you dont sit for an hour waiting to be styled. They start and finish you timely. They may have on occasion clients that style requires longer dryer time so those are done concurrently with you but thats not the norm and unless youre paying close attention you dont even notice. Regardless if they are finishing a client or receiving assistance from a stylist who has some free time you will always feel like a VIP. So, If youre looking for a professional and hair trendy shop that treats the client as an important factor to their establishment then look no further than Hair Elite. They will meet your needs in several ways and have you feeling like a VIP on your first visit. The salon is located on busy Hawthorne Blvd. but there is a center island for parking and curbside parking for your convenience. Another great quality is they are located on schedulicity which makes checking available times and booking a huge convenience. Check em out. Dana

Hi everyone, My name is Uche. I have to say yesterday was my firs time coming to Hair Elite and I cant say enough how much I truly appreciate the staff there. I had an amazing experience right for the moment I walked in. I came in feeling in utter dismay about my hair and I left feeling on cloud 9. I have to give a special shout out to the owner of the salon, Danielle, and Eljay. All three worked on my hair from layering to styling to adding a few hair pieces. I could not have walked out looking the way I did if it was not for their magical hands. The owner, who layered my hair did a phenomenal job; the best I have ever seen. Danielle is a true expert on weaves and went out of her way to help me fix mine. Eljay is an amazing stylist who blew me away with the loose curls he put in my hair. Altogether, I left feeling as if I could be on "the Real Housewives of _____"...lol...maybe I could at least audition! This is all to say that they are so amazing and no matter who you go to there, I am sure they will hook you up. :)

I love this place of beauty!! Ive been getting my hair done from Stevie for over 10 years. I went to Stevie because the lady I was previously going to would have me book an appointment for 9a and wouldnt finish me until like 1 or 2p. It frustrated me to be in a shop for most of my morning so I started looking for another place. A friend recommended Stevie to me. I was a bit cautious with scheduling my appointment so I allowed 4 hours for my time with her. Thanks be to God that I was only there for 1 1/2 hours for my press and curl. I was amazed and have been going to her ever since. Ive never met a hair stylist that cares for your hair and how you look before walking out of the shop. She doesnt triple book and she meets your needs for a great hair day, week or even 2 weeks. (Depending on your needs) I would definitely recommend Hair Elite to anyone who wants to be taken care of. The whole team is great and have great customer service.

Finally a salon who knows how to do all types of hair! I live an hour away from this beauty salon but have no problem traveling because of their expertise with hair. My hair type is thick kinky Afro and whew I have a lot of hair. And because of my unruly hair for years I only wore braids. Recently I wanted to give my hair a break so researched Brazilian blowout. I am a nursing new mom to a 7 month old. I went for a leap of hair faith and decided to do the Brazilian blowout with Stevie "guru of hair". My hair type was the toughest hair yet for the salon but I left looking fierce with shiny, healthy shoulder length hair. BTW everyone in the salon is professional and kind. I am a new fan of Brazilian blowout because now I can do my own hair and it takes less than half the time now to blow dry and straighten my hair. And less time for a new mom is gold! Thanks Hair Elite!!
