Saw all of the great reviews and decided to give this place a try. I think I may have gotten someone new, but the haircut was the worst I have ever gotten. I ask for a very simple haircut, just a 2 on the sides and cut in on the top. I get something that I am now realizing is definitely not a 2. She did not seem to speak English, which is not a problem if the job is done correctly, but she had another stylist coming over and telling her how to do it correctly I think. The sideburns came out unevenly. I should have complained, but after sitting in the chair for 45 minutes, I simply needed to get out of there.

$21+tip for bad haircut? Ive gone three times. The first time was good, the second and third times were bad. The person cutting hair didnt seem to care about getting it right. When I pointed out issues I wanted corrected, she made me feel like I was being unreasonable for wanting my hair cut well. The last two times I spent about an hour at home trying to fix all the missed spots. This seems to be one of the cheaper haircuts around, but you likely get what you pay for. By the way, Ive tried a lot of the barber shops around, and none are particularly great.

At Santa Cruz, I got a great trim from Armine! Im used to spending +$40 on haircuts that are more what the stylist wants to do and less what I want. Today I spent $15 for exactly the haircut I wanted. Armine is fast and an expert with the scissors. The one draw back is this place only takes cash, so be sure to stop by the bank before you go!

In a nutshell - nice people, reasonable hair cut, but SUPER SLOW. Next in line behind a guy already in the chair, and getting just a cut - no wash - should not take 70 minutes. Cash only just adds to the annoyance. If I had been out of there in a reasonable time - 40 minutes, say - Id give this place a Very Good.

Cecilia has been doing my cuts for, gosh, 15 years now. She is careful, has a good sense of style, and makes even my difficult (and increasingly thin, darn it) hair look and feel wonderful. Conversation is easy. There is rarely a wait. I usually call about an hour before showing up and that almost always works out.

I have been going to this place for years. It is very fast, convenient and affordable. Make sure to make an appointment a head of time, and then you will be down extremely quickly. They do only take cash, but there is a bank ATM on the same block.

Ive been getting my hair cut from Cecilia for the past year. She is flexible, dependable and does a great job. Did I mention that it is really affordable? I work in the area and I hate having to set up an appointment. Thanks Cecilia!

They are very friendly. In no time I was sitting and Cecilia did a fine job. The basic cut (18$) is so affordable for the Silicon Valley standards. Only cash. Very recommendable.
