My daughter has been with Miss Helen for the past 2 years (since she was 6 months old). Ive been looking for new schools recently (my husband changed jobs so we need to change my daughters school) and I can say that RCDC is one of the best out there. There are many reasons we love RCDC but below are the top ones that are unique to RCDC: - Miss Helen, who is the owner and director, is present every day to ensure the school is well run. She really cares about the kids and isnt there just to collect a paycheck. This is because she owns the center and takes pride in what she has built. Other centers Ive visited where the director doesnt have at much at stake comes in for only a couple hours a day and dont even know the kids names. - A balance between spending time with kids of the same age and spending time with kids of other ages. For academic and development activities the kids are split up so they can do age appropriate work. But circle time, lunch time, special activities and some play times are done with mixed age groups. This is good since young kids can learn from older kids. And older kids can learn leadership and responsibility from working with younger kids. My daughter could speak full sentences by the time she was 1.5. I credit this to being with older kids. - Teachers work very hard with you if your child is having a difficult time with something. My daughter was having a hard time adjusting to a new baby in the family and was crying as I dropped her off at school and sporadically throughout the day. The teachers all showed great concern and tried to comfort her. Miss Helen gave her many hours of individual attention during those weeks where she held her, gave her extra food if she missed lunch from being upset, distracted her with new toys/activities, etc. - Easy communication. I text with questions all the time (over protective mom :-) and Miss Helen responds immediately. She also takes negative feedback and makes changes right away without complaint. For example, Miss Helen had a mat like surface installed over all the cement walkways leading to the playground so the kids wouldnt get hurt. The extra mat pieces were left on a stack by the playground. I was concerned the stack might give off unhealthy fumes when in the heat and texted Miss Helen about it. When I went to pick up my daughter that day, it was moved. I would definitely recommend RCDC to any parent looking for a school in Milpitas. Miss Helen has built a fun, loving small community there.

Rainbow childhood development center has been a fantastic infant care center and preschool for our daughter, who started there when she was 5 months. The infant teachers were so caring and loving to all the babies and were great with detailing the days events (feedings, diaper changes, naps, milestones). Once she joined the toddler and then preschool room, she just soared with the new activities and practices. They have a great shaded outdoor play area. Helen, the owner of the center, cooks nutritious meals and snacks that the kids love. She has always been very friendly and responsive to our concerns. Rainbow childhood development center is very family focused and was a second home for our daughter. The facility is just a couple of years old, inside it is very bright and clean and the toys and facility are in great condition. We love Rainbow childhood development center and recommend it to all our friends looking for great daycare.

RCDC is Cool! My son went there from when he was 11 months old until he was ready to go to Kindergarten when he was close to 5 years old. There are multiple reasons why we were happy with RCDC. First, Helen provides home cooked healthy food three times a day for breakfast, lunch and evening snack. Second, she maintains the place very neatly and has nice quality toys and supplies. Third, she strives to provide good education to the students in whatever way she can. When I started initially, I selected this place for the neatness and cleanliness of the place, and stayed there for the other good reasons I mentioned. I feel my son is lucky to have been there. My son is as ready as he can be for Kindergarten. A big thumbs up to Helen and Rainbow Childhood Daycare Center (RCDC). Thank you Ms. Helen.

Madhu D. Madhu D. August 16, 2013 Finest Day Care ★★★★★ We joined our twins in Rainbow childhood day Care (RCDC) when they were 17 months old. That is the best decision we made. Ms.Helen is amazing with kids caring, patient and encouraging. It is not just a day care but also a preschool. She sends home art work they had done for the week. The day care provides varied food choices better chances of not having picky eaters. My kids never came back home hungry. They always look forward to going to their day care. Ms.Helen works with parents to resolve any difficulties the child might be facing and steers the child to be more respectful and polite. All the teachers I have seen at day care have similar ideology.

Ramya S. November 27, 2013 A great daycare! ★★★★★ My daughter started at RCDC just after she turned 1. She moved from a small family daycare and Ms Helen and her staff helped ease her into the program very well. I loved how well engaged all the kids were. My daughter learnt a lot of words, could even sing a few rhymes and dance to all of them within a few months! I could tell she loved it there. :) I loved seeing pictures of all the activities Ms Helen and her staff did with the kids. The effort that went into organizing the Mothers day program is commendable! :) Overall, its a very fun, active daycare with lot of toys, books, activities for the kids and great teachers! I wish I went there myself! :D

Helen is an excellent teacher! Shes not only very experienced, but also very caring and patient. My son (haohao, 2.5 years old) learned a lot skills and disciplines from her. Helen also cooks wonderful meals and all kids love them. You can tell that Helen takes care of the kids with passion and love.
