On Memorial Day, 090307, my girl took her fathers vehicle to them for an oil change. She was verbally quoted a total price of about $50. As she waited, she was told an air filter was necessary. She agreed to the air filter change. Later she was told they didnt have an air filter in stock and they did a motor flush instead. She was never told the cost of the motor flush and learned about it when she was given a bill of over $100. I spoke with car wash manager Joseph MACANTANGAY regarding this experience and he told me his employees would not lie, that they not only told her the price before the service was done but that they showed her the price list on their computer screen. They did not do this. Joseph also told me she was lying. Joseph claimed my girl was just one of the numerous problem customers they have who do not want to pay for their services. I can only speak for her and she wouldnt do that. The bottom line is The High Street Car Wash failed to tell her the true cost of their services, pressured her into work that wasnt needed and did so without telling her the costs in advance.

More of a car "rinse" than a "wash." They failed to scrub off bird poop and insects from paint + hand prints/smudges from windows. Worst of all, they left a grease stain on my interior door panel (driver side). Ive been here twice to give them the benefit of the doubt and twice Ive been disappointed. Not worth the $24 + tip for a "basic" price package, in my opinion. Sure, it is convenient and saves time but Ill be taking my business down the road in Alameda so I can do the job right myself from here on out.

Operating a car window must be baffling to the employees there since my cars interior was soaked after coming through the wash. The second star is only here for the detailing employee who despite not speaking a word of English, at least saw what happened and attempted an apology with a plastic seat cover to drive home on. Sorry manager, your 5 cent cover isnt going to fix the damage to my seats, but thanks for the $2 military discount I guess.

Carwash was alright but ended with a broken brake light and when i went to confront the manager of the establishment he would rather avoid the problem and go on to tell me it was none of his concern his priority is if my truck came out as clean as possible and if my brake light got broken in the process that was my problem and asked me to leave. Not very manager like i woukdbt recommend this place to anyone

The worst place to take your car. Toke my car to an oil change. Toke the car back and they tell me oil leaking was from Turbo. Toke the car to an auto shop to fix it and the oil leaking was because they broke the oil filter housing cap. I$150 to fix their mistake. Went back to the shop and they did not take responsibility for their mistake. BAD, BAD, BAD customer services and shop. STAY AWAY.

For a $32.00 car wash they suck ! carpet was still dirty, bugs still on the car from local driving, rims still has brake dust , wheels saturated in dressing in which ended up all over the quarter panel. Ive spent $10.00 for a much better wash in So Cal. Searching for that quality in the area

So far this is the better option for a car wash on the island. I found my car had actually been vacuumed to my expectations, armoral wiped, glass cleaned well, and spotless outside. I paid a little more here than the one at South Shore but it was well worth it. Much better quality.

They do a wonderful job on the car, inside and out! Nice lil shop inside, I was able to entertain my lil one with a snack & drink while we waited. Also, they have a waiting area with TV, plenty of chairs, as well as a nice lil patio area, in the shade. Pretty fast as well.

Its gone up in price and down in service. Ive been coming here for years. They stopped offering the free carwash with oil change and now charges $20 more for oil. FYI if your coming here there is a cheaper and better carwash a few blocks up high Street.

I had a lot of glass from a smashed window and a whole lotta mess inside. They cleaned the inside and outside really well, quickly. Good service and even the restroom smells nice. Id recommend, no doubt.

Very dishonest business, but good for anyone who wants to be a sucker. The tech was asking for $145 to change oil for a Honda Civic. Yeah, good luck finding a sucker.
