I have been a student at Pacific Grove Dance for the past eighteen months. It has changed my life. I wanted to learn Salsa, but now Im also learning Cha Cha, Swing, Hustle, Nightclub Two Step, Tango, as well as the smooth dances, Fox Trot and Waltz. Leo and Olga, the husband-wife team who are the owners/teachers, are simply incredible. They are both very high-energy, extremely talented, while being very warm, supportive and lighthearted. They both work hard teaching their students, both in group lessons and individual private lessons. It is beautiful to see their endless patience, encouragement and coaching bring out the best in each of their students. They pay attention to the smallest detail, and notice everything. They truly want us to succeed and grow. It doesnt matter at what level you begin, whether youve no prior experience, or just want to improve your skills, they will start where you are. The students Ive interacted with are all wildly enthusiastic about Leo and Olga. On Friday nights, there is a group lesson, followed by a dance party which is well attended and offers the students, at whatever level they happen to be, an opportunity to participate. The studio is beautiful, well appointed and meticulously maintained; a real pleasure to be there. Try it; you will love it; its addictive!

We met and fell in love on a dance floor and used to love to foxtrot, waltz and swing dance together in our own self-styled way. That was before Parkinson’s Disease (for both of us) and advancing Cystic Fibrosis (Irene) made dancing impossible. One of the best decisions of our lives was our decision to begin private ballroom dance lessons with Leo and Olga eleven months ago. Since then, not only have we regained the joy of dancing with each other, we also now enjoy social dancing with others, have performed in 2 dance showcases and Irene has competed successfully in NDCA competitions. Our physicians say that the health improvement we have achieved through dance is amazing. Dance has become a passion with us and we absolutely love the time we spend with Leo and Olga, who are outstanding teachers as well as absolutely fun people to spend time with. We encourage you to join us in supporting them in their new dance studio, Pacific Grove Dance. Irene Watson and Rick Hilgers

Pacific Grove Dance is the real thing! Ive pursued ballroom dance lessons in several major world cities (Los Angeles and London) where ballroom dance has a major presence...and still have never found anything as special as Pacific Grove Dance. Leo and Olga are world-class dance artists and teachers. Whether you are a true beginner who has never had a lesson, or a seasoned dancer, Leo and Olga are experts at bringing out the best in each of their students. Youll see this immediately! Their consistency, generosity of spirit, and professionalism are unparalleled. In fact, everyone at Pacific Grove Dance contributes to the grace-filled and supportive atmosphere. Its a safe place to ignite a creative spark and re-discover the joy of learning. Dont be nervous to try a free Friday night dance lesson, or introductory private. You will have FUN! Youll be changed for the better and forever glad you went!

I have been dancing for more than forty-five years. I became interested while in college and have since dedicated a large part of my adult life to it. I was privileged to spend ten years in New York City and while there had the opportunity to observe the best dancers in the world dancing at their best. Dancers like Mikhail Baryshnikov, Rudolf Nureyev, Anthony Dowell, Antoinette Sibley, Peter Martins, Suzanne Farrell, Gelsey Kirkland, Carla Fracci, Natalia Markarova, Natalia Bessmertnova, Vladimir Vasiliev, Eric Bruhn and Margot Fonteyn. I can say that Leo and Olga are themselves dancers of impeccable craft, training and experience. As teachers, they have an uncanny ability to bring out the best in their students. Everyone who studies with them does improve, no exceptions. All who is willing to work and apply themselves become better dancers. No one, and I mean no one, gets left behind.

We are so fortunate to have Pacific Grove Dance here on the Monterey Peninsula with Leo and Olga as the owners, instructors, and International Chapionship Dancers. I have been a student with Leo and Olga for about 3 years and have found them to be "amazing", gifted, fun loving, and very skilled teachers that can take you from the very beginning steps of social dancing to the highest level of competitive dancing. They have taken me to a level of dancing that I could not have even imagined from 0 dancing skills to three years of competitive dance ( and at the age of 67). You can only imagine what they can do for the young students and the dreams that they can help come true. They have programs that can fit most anyones agenda. Just visit their beautiful studio and say Hi to Olga and Leo and they will capture your heart like they did mine. Roberta

Ive been dancing for well over 25 years. My job in the military moves me around every 3 years or so, and I have to start over with a new teacher each time. It will be very difficult to find a replacement for Olga and Leo. My training and level of experience has never been as high as it is now. I took Overall Top Solo at my last competition, and that is due to the efforts of both Olga and Leo. Both are well educated and trained in the art of dance. Their incredible personalities are contagious, and their teaching style is easy to understand whatever your level of experience may be. All of that combined with the great facility that is Pacific Grove Dance, is nothing more than a recipe for success. I am now a bit spoiled, and finding a studio that is at the same caliber or better than PGD will not be easy.

5 stars rating for Olga and Leo of Pacific Grove Dance!!! I was a student of Olga for about five months and in that time competed with her in two competitions and performed together a showcase routine that she choreographed and taught me. To say it was great fun too would be an understatement. She is so incredibly gifted both as a dancer and teacher and reminded me very much of the pro dancers on DWTS. Leo would also give me pointers from a man s perspective during privates with Olga, as well as teach the group classes that I attended. I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to take instruction from them both and highly recommend them to you!

When I decided to take dance lessons, I knew it had to be at Pacific Grove Dance when I entered the beautiful, fairy-tale worthy ballroom. I can almost guarantee it would make anyone want to dance. After that, it was the positive and genial atmosphere in the individual and group lessons. Olga and Leo are extremely talented instructors dedicated to making the process of learning enjoyable and rewarding, no matter what level of the student or what their individual goals may be. I have benefited not only from their artistic and technical expertise, but their patient guidance and dedication. I cant imagine taking lessons anywhere else.

Ive been a student at PG Dance for a few months now and I couldnt be happier the dedication Leo and Olga have in making me a better dancer. Before deciding to become a student I hadnt danced a day in my life so of course I was a little nervous, especially since I didnt even have a partner, but after the 1st free lesson I realized none of that mattered. Every lesson I laugh, have fun, learn more than I thought possible, and burn a few calories. Now I have more confidence to ask someone to dance at social events. If youre thinking about dancing, you have nothing to lose by coming here just to see how you like it! You wont regret it!
