I had a coupon for $99.. for the whole house but when the guy came over it rose to over $300. After negotiating and bargaining we agreed to $197. And here it is the rest of unbelievable story, mainly, scam and credit card fraud. With this letter I hope to bring to light a very serious scam I have been a victim of. This company uses bait and switch tactics along with forged documents to overcharge costumers credit cards. In my own personal experience I was given a quote of $197 to clean all the carpet in my home by the companys technician. Upon agreeing to the price and having signed the contract on site the technician took my credit card along with the signed contract to his truck to get the card authorized. Once he came back in the house and completed the cleaning he put the contract back on the kitchen counter top and left. It wasnt until some few days later that I noticed on my credit card statement that my card had been charged $290 instead of the agreed to $197. After digging up the signed contract I realized that when the technician had taken my signed contract into his truck to authorize the credit card he had crossed off the agreed to $197 quote and changed it to $290. As is customary in situations such as this there should have been my signed initials next to the change, however there were no initials. Upon realization of this discrepancy I immediately contacted my credit card company and opened a dispute. A couple of days later Discover Card sent me Companys submitted receipts for review. The paperwork Company had provided Discover Card was not the contract I had signed along with the fraudulent changes, rather an entirely different invoice that I had neither seen nor signed. Once Discover Card acknowledged the scam they removed all charges from my card. However the issue here is the fact that Air Fresh Chem Dry has violated consumer rights and committed a crime. Apart from the scam and fraud, when I contacted Alice, AKA the manager, as to why the company had submitted a different invoice than the one I had signed, sadly enough, while she was very rude and disrespectful, she blamed the accounting office for that. Incidentally, they did not do a good job on vacuuming and cleaning so that they had to redo the job again. In addition they put a few dents and scratches on the walls while doing the job.

A complete waste of money. I hired Air Fresh Chem-Dry to clean my apartment on 9/28/2013. I took advantage of their special – 3 rooms (up to 500 sq. ft.) for $69.99. So prior to the workers showing up, I measured the area that I wanted clean. It came to 463 sq. ft. On that day two guys that were very unprofessional showed up at my door. The one that was in charge smelled of marijuana smoke, which proves to me that the company does not drug-test their employees. The first thing the main guy did was look around the apartment and then tried to quote me the price for a larger area. He only backed down after I told him that I measured it and it was less than 500 sq. ft. He then tried to up-sale additional services to ensure the carpet gets clean. After I told him I didn’t want to pay extra, he offered to throw in the cleansers for free, because the basic service alone would not likely have done much (something he told me). If you haven’t seen the process, basically they spray what appears to be carbonated water on the carpet, and then buff it out. But if they don’t use cleaners (which is extra), they are essentially just adding water to dirt, which just creates mud. Even after all these guys did, the carpets still did not look as good as I had hoped. In addition, this company charges a $10 Service Charge. Even after a year, I still don’t like this company and I would not use them again.

Be aware that the Groupon is just a teaser to get them in the door, I ended up getting talked into spending close to $200 for a "deeper cleaning" which would make my carpet like "brand new". Although the tech was very nice and professional I realize he is just doing what he has been told to do by Air Fresh. Within a few hours I realized I had wasted that money and my carpet was exactly the same (which wasnt bad) with stains still there, I should have stuck to the $49 Groupon. It left a sticky residue on my carpet and smelled bad. When someone called me from Air Fresh the next day to see if I was happy I explained how I felt. She said to call and schedule a re-do. When I called for a re-do they explained that I would have to spend even more money for a deeper cleaning, I already spent an extra $120 for "deep" cleaning!! DO NOT USE AIR FRESH Chem-dry! The traditional truck-mount cleaning is the BEST! This place is all about the up-sell which is pure profit. FYI: We cleaned the spots with a rag and good old fashioned carpet cleaner and they came right up! Should have done this in the first place.

Unfortunately, I cant give "Rave" reviews... When I called to make the appointment I gave the "Groupon" voucher number. When the rep came today and asked how I was going to pay I told him Groupon. Suddenly the price to do deep cleaning went up to a flat 160.00 instead of the Groupon discount price. When I questioned it he said I never told him it was a Groupon, when in fact I did. He said the Groupon price would be a maintenance light cleaning... give me a break. Ive used chem dry before and have never heard that before. Ive had the entire house cleaned for under 90.00 and it was "deep cleaned" ... I will be making a point of letting people know not to use Air Fresh.... misrepresented...big time. Your reps were here a total of 18 minutes... I had all of the furniture moved myself so they didnt have to do anything other than the actual carpet cleaning which obviously was very sub standard!

With out a doubt the worst service Ive ever experienced. Talk about pressure sales! Everything was extra. My wife was quoted $70-$75 max for a small closet and a small bedroom with out moving the bed. Deep cleaning, protection, on and on was offered. Then they wanted a check, ok I gave them a check (a good one) they came back that the processing company said it was not good. Tried to call the company and got recordings and then finally a women came on the line and researched the issue and said it was the processing company not them. I told the two men that we will not be doing any business, they left mad and did not put the two pices of furniture they moved back and did not undo the screen door lock. After they left I noticed on the check the guy wrote down the wrong birth date (48 instead of 46). Be careful if you use these people and be prepared to be pressured to spend more.

The worst and most UNPROFFESIONAL company i have EVEr delt with! They tried to make me pay $419 for 2 rooms!! and i was quoted 150!! after going back and forth for about an hour i finally said forget it. they wouldnt do any cleaning unless i paid over 300 because of their "guarantee" The tech left all of the furniture moved, with no clean carpets and just left. I called the manager Kristin, who yelled at me saying i had to pay more if i wanted them to clean at all. it was so ridiculous. i am definately taking my business elsewhere. this is my first review in the world, because i am so upset that even in this economy companies are acting like this. I work so hard to make costumers happy in my job then to deal with another service provided and be treated to terribly is just so saddening. I hope you dont choose chem dry! unless you want to be fanagled and mislead.
