Our son has been at Discovery World a little over year and a half and we have been very impressed. Discovery World uses Tadpoles as one way to keep us up to date with what our son is doing daily. Tadpoles is a service to share pictures/videos/comments with parents which my wife and I found to be fun and very helpful. I had never heard of Tadpoles before but I think its a great feature that more schools should use. The teachers would also meet with us periodically to give us an idea of what to expect at different ages. All of his teachers as well as the administrative staff have been great, caring, and communicative. The school name is fitting as they have the kids use their different senses to experience all sorts of things that I would never have thought of. Weekend trips are occasionally organized so kids can experience more of what they are learning outside of school. They also use sign language which was helpful with his communication at home at a young age and it still comes in handy. Discovery World is open 7 days a week until late at night, very convenient if needed. We are constantly amazed with the vocabulary he brings home. Our son has grown leaps and bounds and we think this school has really helped him.

My toddler son loves going to Discovery World! The teachers are wonderful, and the curriculum is very enriching. I love the monthly Around-the-World learning themes. The children have “traveled” to Argentina, Korea, Great Britain, China, Spain - even the lunch menu is coordinated to the theme! If you want your child to have a well-rounded education and a global perspective at an early age, then Discovery World is the place to be! Furthermore, Discovery World will email you Daily Reports of your child’s progress, which includes photographs and videos taken from that day. It is exciting to be able to see firsthand the activities and learning that occurs in the classroom. My child has been surprising me on a daily basis with the things that he has learned, including knowing all the colors in sign language! The classrooms at Discovery World are very clean. There is also a very secure check-in system which is fast and efficient. We even get reports about the air quality in LA! Discovery World has perfected the childhood educational experience, and I give it my highest recommendation!

Our son has been going to Discovery World for a year now, and every day I regret not starting him sooner at this school. After only a few weeks in, we started noticing incredible changes. Our shy little boy suddenly learned how to express himself whether in happiness or anger, he would use his words instead of crying. His vocabulary exploded with new words and he started thinking about and analyzing everyday situations around him in a very impressive manner. He started reading and doing simple math other kids his age could not yet do. The teachers (every single one of them) are simply wonderful, and they truly care about the children. I cannot say enough good things about Michelle and Keri. They teach the kids how to be self sufficient and boost their confidence level on a daily basis. They use simple, fun techniques and expose the kids to so much by traveling to different countries, learning about other cultures, tasting different foods and even petting all kinds of animals, birds and reptiles! Thank you Discovery World for being everything our son needed in a preschool and more.

My son started DW when he was about 8 months; and he is now 13 months. We started gradually with 2 days, then 3 days, and now that Im back to work, hes there 5 days a week. From the very beginning, I saw jumps in his development! I love how the curriculum exposes them to so many sensory activities and cultures (I mean what other preschool is having Doro Wat (Ethiopian cuisine) on their lunch menu for toddlers!!!). And what makes everything even better, is getting my daily Tadpole report complete with movies and pictures of what he has been doing all day. Also our niece and nephew graduated from here and loved it and were more than prepared for elementary school at Dapplegray!!! We feel so lucky to have found DW.

Discovery World was one of the highlights of my childhood. I was one of the first classes to graduate from this preschool, and I absolutely loved going to school every day. I remember having so many experiences and my eyes being opened to so many opportunities that existed in the world that I was convinced by the time that I graduated that I would be an astronaut, artist, mommy, preschool teacher, author, and scientist. And the thing is that Im on my way to accomplishing quite a few of those! Thank you Discovery World - I still remember the good old days!

My son began attending Discovery World over a year ago at 14 weeks old. The care he receives is outstanding. The teachers are engaged and involved with his continuous development. He looks forward to attending DW each day as shown by the smile on his face when we walk in the door each morning. DW’s director, Sheryl, is open to parent feedback and willing to enact changes to meet the needs of the children who attend DW.

Our son started here at 14 months and was here until he turned 2. We loved the teachers, the curriculum and the philosophy used at this school. It was perfect for our son and he enjoyed his time here. We unfortunately had to move, otherwise he would have continued going here for another 2-3 more years.
