CCDA is fabulous! The studio is run amazingly and the instructors are extremely qualified and knowledgeable. We are very happy with the improvements our daughter has made here and cannot wait to see how much she improves over the course of the next academic year. They are warm and welcoming to new dancers and there is a very strong "family" feel among all of the dancers who dance there. If youre looking for a studio with great training and no intimidation you really should them out! I would like to make a comment on what Kimberly G. said because I think she is completely wrong. Yes, you need to read all documents that you are signing, I dont know why anyone would sign something they havent read. The forms upon registration state clearly that if you plan to leave the studio you need to submit a withdrawal form by the 15th of the month or you will be charged the following month. This is common at every dance studio and gymnastic facility we have ever been to. Someone else said you have to give 30 days, also false. Students are enrolled until they are withdrawn, this is no different than joining a gym membership, and how dance studios and gymnastic facilities run. Clients sign a credit card authorization form giving consent to charge our cards for enrollment until we submit our withdrawal form. The studio is very clear about this so I do not understand the confusion. Overall, wonderful academy with great programs for dancers who are looking to advance their skills and are really passionate about dance.

Buyer beware. There are much better options for ballet/dance lessons than this outfit, we recommend checking out Kids Dance and Fitness (two miles away from this place) and Tumblebuddies (definitely young kid oriented). Anyone thinking about enrolling their children at CCDA should read the fine print, and there’s lots of it. For comparison check out the Kids Dance and Fitness website, there’s almost none. If you don’t read the fine print you might be shocked to read that if your child’s class should fall on a holiday, tough luck, no class and no make up. And hold on to your hats, for a holiday like Thanksgiving, they took four days, so our daughter missed out on her last class on Saturday (11-28). We talked to the owner of Kids Dance and Fitness, and although they do take holiday days (just two for Thanksgiving) children can makeup all classes either the same or next month, in fact they encourage parents to make up classes that fall on holidays. This option is not available at CCDA! Just the tip of the iceberg in things to be aware of, so be careful when deciding what is the best option for your children regarding dance in northern Sacramento.

Great dance academy! So happy to see a real ballet studio in the Natomas area that also offers tap, jazz, contemporary and hip-hop.This academy is strict and expects a high standard when it comes to grooming and dress code, but that I what we love about it! I love seeing the dancers all in the same color leotards with their hair up in buns, it just shows a different standard that many other schools lack. The dancers at CCDA are actually taught dance education, proper etiquette and discipline, as well as solid technique. If you want your kid to actually learn to dance and not just be wrapped up in a sparkly tutu then come here because you will see your money well spent. We love CCDA!

This dance studio teaches the dedicatation and technique needed to be a dancer and trains them classically following a strict vagonova regime. It is difficult to find such serious studios like this in the sacramento area. It is truly a gem in a sea of mediocracy. The teachers are extremely knowlegeable and bring a great energy to the classroom. If you are serious about dancing this is the place to go. My technique has improved tremendously in the short amount of time i have been here. The small class sizes really allow the teachers to focus on each dancer individually and helps them progress quickly. This studio is an amazingand and very professional.

We are so impressed with the quality of instruction that our daughters receive at CCDA. While the name "Capitol City Dance Academy" may sound intimidating, the environment is warm and friendly, yet still very structured. The instructors are demanding, yet able to bring out the best in their students in a positive way. This is a real dance academy giving them a real dance education, unlike many other studios in town that tend to be more recreational. The studio is young and growing and our daughters were warmly welcomed not only by the staff, but other students as well. We are very happy with CCDA.

This studio is the best if you want to be a professional! Ive only been here for 3-4 months and I have improved and grown so much! I went from barely being able to do one Piroutte, to being able to do 3, almost 4! This studio more than pays for itself! But if you are, then you really need to get over here! They teach etiquette and the appearance of the students are uniformed and groomed, but the teachers also want the best for their students!. I repeat this studio is the place to go if you really want to pursue dance as a career, the teachers really know their stuff!

The owner has very bad attitude issues, my daughter went there few months. Stop going because of the one situation a 7yr old had to face it. That forgot to order my daughters custom and didnt info us till they day of the performance. The way the people handle the situation was very awful.

Not as professional as I expected. Be sure when the session ends, if you decide not to continue submit a withdrawal form before the 15th or you will be charged whether CONSENT is given or not!!!
