This is the best most honest car repair shop you will find and their prices are very reasonable. I have had a clutch/master cylinder replaced on one car and a timing belt, water pump, brake caliper, motor mount, and tie rod done on another car. Both of these major services were done professionally and quickly. They stick by their estimates, dont recommend unnecessary repairs and complete work on time. Most recently, I took my Honda in for a transmission fluid and oil change. After completing the service (1 hours time!), they pointed out that I had a crack in my exhaust manifold. Fearing a huge cost to replace, I was told not to worry because the part was under recall and the dealer would swap it out for free. Sure enough, I took it in and it was swapped for free saving my $700-$1000 in repair costs I am guessing. My point is that Hi Auto didnt have to tell me that the part was under recall but since they did they have earned a customer for life and I highly recommend them for any type of service to anyone.

My buddy got took his truck in. They charged him 2400 for a head gasket and valve adjustment and didnt even bother to see if it was a symptom of something else and returned the vehicle still with a check engine light and over heating. They told him it was good but then when he got it back and it overheated (after 10 miles) again it was shrugged off. Then the crank shaft gave out. After the run around to see what itd take they eventually said itd take 1300. Then raised it to 2800 to redo the head gasket and a rod that bent (yes he was charged twice for the head gasket) and finally got the vehicle back still overheated and a check engine light that didnt previously exist and has confirmed with by 2 other diagnostics that the cause was the transmission slipping. In my experience the employees werent disrespectful, but were dishonest and negligent. I know not every job is as simple as first perceived but it seems to me they were playing him.

Hi and his team have taken such good care of me... sometimes Im blown away with how well they run a repair shop. I have a 2002 Ford Focus and whenever something has gone wrong... Hi has provided top notch service at an extremely affordable price. I have checked out other low cost repair shops for work and Hi still beats all of their prices! Not to mention his work is solid... Im yet to have an issue with any of his repairs. Talk to Matthew when you go in as hes always been a guy to be honest and straight forward with me and easy to communicate with. i have been so many places in SD where they try to take all your money. I always take my cars here. They are the most honest repair men. One time my car broke down the week after they repaired it. Replaced the problem for free, even though it was never part of what they repaired. I bought the part for cheap from the dealer and then they repaired it for free. Any other place will charge you $500 dollars for the repair, but i only paid $32.62 for the part.........GO HERE for all auto repair

I loved the service at Hi Auto Repair. I needed to find and build a long-term relationship with a local, honest auto repair shop. We only own one car. They were recommended to me when my husband and I moved here this month. It was important to us get to know the local businesses in the area. I had to get a smog check on my vehicle. It took about 10 minutes and they electronically notified the DMV for me. I would recommend them to family and friends.

Ive never before encountered a repair shop that is so honest about what needs to be done to your vehicle. There have been multiple times ive brought my car in to be looked at where they could have charged me an arm and a leg to fix, but only charged me for a very routine, inexpensive part to replace. I absolutely trust Hi to tell me the truth about what needs to be fixed, he is a solid businessman.

Very poor attitude, and unprofessional. Used to be good, but this time Hai was angry that someone else worked on my 22 year old van! Broke things that were working before, and failed to complete the repair. Left screws out of my dash on the floor. Been taking cars to him for many years, sent many friends, but can no longer recommend. Unfortunate.

Absolutely phenomenal repair shop. We have taken our cars to them for many years. Not only are they very honest and very reasonable, theyll tell you if the problem needs to be done soon or can wait and let you decide if you want to use factory original parts or less expensive after-market parts. They have my very highest recommendation.
