Fernando was the first of the three barbers I had to choose from when I first went to the Shop about 5 years ago. Other than his being extremely friendly, ZERO attitude, socializes very well while keeping 100% attention to your haircut, which always comes out perfect. (I cant help but feel guilty that I did pick him first as hes the handsome one.) The first visit, I described exactly the kind of buzz cut I wanted, he got it right the first time, and has gotten it right every time since. Hes got a great memory like that...like a good bartender remembers what your drink is, even if he hasnt seen you in a few months...I have heard that the other two barbers give great cuts as well...but Ill always go to Fernando, personally. The prices are amazing in the Shop to boot! The best place to go if you want a MANs cut, or military style.

I got Fernando when my turn came up. He was friendly and gave me a good fast cut for $10. The shop is very cool and seems like it is a walk in only style barbershop. I really liked it and will be going back again. I have tried two other places in the area that had amazing reviews online, but when you have to pay $25 bucks or more its easy to be left unimpressed. At $10 bucks though I definitely thought they did just as good.

Jeep Rutherford

This is an old fashioned, three chair barbershop. They even have a barber pole outside. At only $11, haircuts are cheap. Seniors will enjoy a $2 discount on Monday through Friday. The guy in the front chair is your best choice for a regular tapered haircut but the two ladies are OK, too. Parking is limited and the lot is a little strange, but youll figure it out. If all else fails, park at a meter on Park Blvd.

Astor Place Haircutters (NYC) on a much smaller scale. Quick, easy, no BS, no products to sell and a great predictable haircut every time. I have always sat in Fernandos chair though I suspect Id get the same great cut in either of the others. Regular price is now $11 (it went up a buck some time back) and there is a M-Th discount for those over . . . 62 I think. This is a walk-in, 15 minute max haircut.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. One star is too generous. Cramped & dirty premises. I thought Id give them a try because I was in a rush. I went to a Hispanic barber. I THOUGHT hed have a clue. NOPE! They cannot cut African American hair. F-d up my hairline terribly. I went to the Dream salon right down the street to un-f this hatchet job. Do NOT waste your time here.

The barber shop is quite small and has a weird odor. The barbers are nice so I give them credit but the lack of whats advertised is annoying. According to their shop they offer straight blade fade but those individuals have an offset schedule. For the price the quality is poor your better off anywhere else to be honest.

I told her what I wanted a Flat Top that is not too short in top and sides go straight up, everything SQUARE like. What did she do? Short on top and sides go in, so I look like a pyramind with a flat top. Makes my face look rounder, fatter, VERY ANGRY.

Been going here for over 5 years now. All the barbers are good and I know Ill get a great cut everytime. Havent lived in North Park in a while but Ill always keep going to these guys. Everyones friendly and the place is cozy.

9 bucks for a quality haircut and seniors get a discount! I never have to wait and never have any trouble. skin fade, regular haircut, whatever floats your boat. BEST of ALL !!! They are open 7 days!!
