After relocating to Orange County and having several bad experiences with stylists in LA, I found a Groupon for the highly rated Alkali Salon and decided to give them a try. I work nearby and decided to stop in to check out the salon and make an appointment in person. When I arrived, the salon was bustling but the receptionist greeted me right away and helped me make an appointment for the next day. When I told her I wanted the Groupon price plus had a $10 additional Groupon special, she honored the full discounted price without having to purchase the deal through Groupon. I was assigned to a stylist Gil who not only did an amazing job with my cut and color, he also worked with me to make sure I got the services I wanted/needed within the price parameters I was quoted using the Groupon pricing. I was able to get balayage highlights, toner, and a cut even though the Groupon was only for partial highlights and a cut. They were great in working with me to keep costs down without compromising my styling. Gil has been on a leave of absence but they have since matched me up with a new stylist who did a good job of trimming my short bob. Ill be returning to her in a few weeks for a full cut and to update my color. Because of the positive experience I have had with them as a business and as stylists, I wont have a problem returning and paying full price.

Terrible customer service. Im new to this town, made an appointment for balayage color, showed the stylist Joe some pictures I liked - figuring we could go from there - and he told me my expectations were too high and refused to do my hair. I was polite, sympathetic to HIS needs, and did not deserve this type of treatment. I even told him Im not picky with my hair, I just wanted to show him pictures because thats what I normally do with my usual stylist. He said "no matter what I do youre not going to like it", have no idea why he was refusing my hair when I was being relaxed about the whole thing and just wanted my hair done. He then asked me to leave! I have never been thrown out of an establishment before. This is a terrible business practice and Im sad they think it is ok to treat their customers this way. Shame on you, Joe.

When it comes to 5 star customer service and a great ambiance this is the place to go! Reasonable pricing, and amazing talent!! David is my go to person for color! If you want a fantasy color he is your guy! Not to mention his vivacious personality and great style! Besides David doing my hair everyone in this salon has amazing talent. It took me a while to find a stylist I personally connect with that wasnt just talent. I feel like finding your hairstylist is also about how well you connect! I always have such a blast when Im in his chair and always walking out of the salon feeling like a prancing unicorn. I highly recommend this Salon!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE my hair! I would totally recommend this place. Friendly staff and the environment is very welcoming. Veronica is my stylist and she did such an amazing job fixing my hair to a beautiful soft blended Balayage. I didnt realize how bad the condition of my hair was when I walked in, then after seeing her work. Shes very professional, her patience, attention to detail and explaining the process completely put me at ease and made me trust her work even more. She definitely understands the core process/theory of hair coloring and conditioning your hair back to life!

Veronica is my expert stylist at AL.KA.LI. She is the master of the Ombre. I saw her work online, and I could tell she was very talented. I have very long, very thick hair that takes about 4-5 hours to color. She has done a fabulous job on creating my Red Ombre and maintaining it for over a year now. I absolutely love her work. It is flawless. With hair as thick as mine I am sure other stylists would not get the color to blend smoothly, but Veronica has always done a expert job for me. I highly recommend her. She is warm, friendly and professional.

The only word to describe this salon is out of this world. The staff are friendly and extremely welcoming they make you feel like your with lifelong friends. The ambience of amazing and they have snacks who doesnt love snacks. I never leave without amazing hair and a smile on my face. Deena just did a fierce metallic shadow root on me and Lindsey did my stunning femme fatale bob. I will never go anywhere else since I know who ever I see here will make me feel like a million bucks.

Ive been going to Alkali Salon since it opened. They are amazing on every level. Extremely accommodating. I can always get an appointment even when Michelle is booked. Their main goal is to always make my hair beautiful leaving me feeling good about myself. I have never been disappointed and always get compliments on my cuts and color. I love Alkali Salon. The culture of the salon is great. Everyone is really friendly and everyone really goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. It smells really good as soon as you walk in...the bathroom is always clean. The experience is overall great as soon as you walk in. But most of all my hair looks great! I love it here. Recommend it. P.S. they have a dog bowl outside..so cute.

This is the best place when it comes to customer service. Not only is EVERY stylist in here talented, they are all so nice. Greeted from the moment you walk in and offered complimentary snacks and drinks. Clients leave with their hair looking on point all the time. Customer friendly, very clean place. Staff super polite. Had an appointment at 12 my stylist showed up 10-15 minutes late. Ask for my hair to be done in layers, but after she blow dried my hair I saw no layers. She said once I curled my hair I would see the layers. Nope dont see them. Paid $45 and didnt get what I wanted. sucks!!!

Such an upscale experience for a decent price! Bre was amazing and fun and did such an amazing job with fantasy color on my hair adding so many shades and dimension! Cant beat free mimosas and lots of hospitality from the whole staff!
