We buy OfficeMax refilled HP printer cartridges. HP apparently released a bad batch and the firmware is throwing an error code of "counterfeit cartridge", for which there is no way to troubleshoot. (Trust me, Ive been working on this for two hours....) The first person I spoke with at OfficeMax obviously didnt care and told us to simply bring them in for an exchange. I thought that odd because this is going to adversely impact their stock (plus they pay HP licensing fees for officially licensed refills) and called back to speak with the manager. Erin, the store manager, was great. We discussed the problem for about ten minutes, of which he has been aware for months. He told me about the bad batch, which made me laugh and I told him about HPs "tech support" giving very little troubleshooting help through their website, and that I was writing a walkthrough on their site as I spoke to him. We discussed the issue of OfficeMaxs stock and I made sure (since I hate HP anyway) that their corporate office was aware of the issue with HP. Erin was very cordial and advised me to bring in our black cartridge that didnt work, as well as the color cartridge we didnt try (because our old one still has ink), just in case that was a bad cartridge too. I appreciate forward thinking and troubleshoot, especially from someone tech savvy. It saves us time and energy, and hopefully resolves the issue with HP.

Just your standard OfficeMax nothing special. Prices are a little high but they charge retail so nothing they can do about that. They also have good coupons right at the checkout counter from time to time.

I wasnt impressed,AT ALL. They point to the little fax machine and say. Sir,there is the fax machine,Help yourself. Then they used to do the tasks themselves . They do OVERCHARGE for this DIY service.
